Little noses saline drops?

Anyone ever used these? How did it work for you? My last post didn't get any hits, so I am going a new route. The hot shower/steam didn't seem to help much and I can't suck any of the congestion out with the aspirator...

TIA

  • They seem to work okay. It's worth a try!

  • I just used them this morning and they work good. They are what the dr told me about at DD's last check-up. He told me to either use them in conjunction with the aspirator (put drops in and then suck out right away) or just let them sit in there. I did it the first way this morning and out came a big booger!
  • LOVE them!

They make the boogies come rght out!...with the bulb syringe of course. It just softens them up. I use it every single day.

  • I use them quite a bit.  I put some drops in before I change his diaper so they have time to sit in there with him laying down.  I don't have much luck with the bulb syringe, but the saline seems to break up the mucous and then his is able to swallow it...gross, but at least he can breathe!
  • They work great for us.  We don't use the aspirator though, DD HATES it.  We just tilt her head back, douse each nostril and let them work a bit.  Tip her back up and out they come!  It's gross, but works to relieve congestion.  The shower thing didn't work for me either.  I tried this morning.
  • Thanks guys. DH will be buying them on his way home today. I feel so bad for my "little piggy" today. He's so stuffed up and just snorts away!
  • the pedi said that they're good to use, I bought some but haven't used them yet.

  • I personally was able to get more out with just the aspirator alone.  Has anyone tried the battery operated aspirator.....collects the mucus in a cup and you don't have to pull it away to get more air in and the collected mucus out......I would love to know if they work any better!!!

  • Sometimes it helps him and some times it doesn't.  He has been stuffy for two weeks now.

I use a battery operated aspirator.  I don't know that it works better... but it works great for us.  I use the drops, and then suck away!  We get big boogies out, no problem.
