I love these! And they taste so much better than standard sugar cookies.
Cream Cheese Cookies
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 3-oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
Cream
together butter and cream cheese, using an electric mixture; add sugar
and beat until fluffy. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Add flour, stirring,
1/2 cup at a time. Chill dough for 30 mins. Preheat oven to 350 and
grease one or more cookie sheets. Roll dough out to 1/4" thick &
cut with cookie cutters. Place cookies on a cookie sheet and bake for
10-12 minutes. Cool and serve.
I love hershey's kisses thumbprint ones'(dont know the real name) but they are fabulous. You put a kiss that sits right in the middle of the cookie! YUM!
I make a coconut macaroon from the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. They are pretty easy and impressive to people who don't know how easy they are. You make em with egg whiles, coconut and sugar.
I bought a carton of egg whites so I figure that'll make it even easier.
These aren't really cookies but they are so good! A co-worker made them last year and everyone raved about them. I made a bunch last night to give away (except I'm eating one right now...). We call them "oreo truffles"
-one package of oreo cookies
-8 oz of softned cream cheese
Pulverize the oreos in a blender or food processor and combine with the cream cheese. Roll into small balls and dip in white chocolate. Let the chocolate harden and woila! Perfection!
