It looks like we have to take her in tomorrow for the unthinkable. She is my 11 1/2 year old yellow lab.?She started having diarrhea overnight a day or 2 before Thanksgiving. By Monday last week her abdomen started getting really bloated & distended. I took her in on Tuesday afternoon. The drew some of the fluid out of her belly & did some bloodwork. The vet spun the fluid down & took a closer look. She found what she though looked like cancer cells. They tried to do an ultrasound guided biopsy on Thursday, but they think it might be her spleen & her platelets were low so they didn't want to biopsy her only to have her bleed out. They sent Tuesday's fluid off to the pathologist instead. We should hear in the next few days. It won't matter though. Over the weekend Honey has completely nosedived. She hasn't eaten since Friday. She is no longer vomiting like last week though. She drinks & that is it. I had to carry her out to the bathroom this morning. She just stares at me like she is here but also a million miles away. It am sick over though thought of having to make that call. I called in this morning, but our vet isn't in today. I would ?rather it be her if we need to "go". My heart breaks by the second. I remember bringing her home on my chest when she was 7 weeks old. This is hitting me pretty hard. Some people say she is just a dog, but she is so much more. She isn't just a dog, she is part of me & I am losing that. Our vet is in tomorrow & I have a feeling we will be going

Re: My doggie is dying :*****(
I am so, so sorry. ?We went through this same exact thing last Christmas. ?
My dalmatian from my parent's house was gone on Dec. 21st. ?:( ?He was the best dog. ?It's so hard because they're a member of the family. ?
