~*~*BobcatSteph~*~ re: Right to BF law

I googled "nursing mothers' rights in the workplace texas" and found this great site that summarizes each states' bf-ing laws.

https://www.ncsl.org/programs/health/breast50.htm

If you scroll down, there's a table with links to each state's specific laws.  Here is Texas' law:  https://tlo2.tlc.state.tx.us/statutes/docs/HS/content/htm/hs.002.00.000165.00.htm#165.001.00- but here's what I didn't know:  IF the employer wishes to be designated a "Mother-Friendly" business/employer, then they are required to provide breaks and a place to pump...

Which means, if they don't wish to be designated a Mother-Friendly business, they are not required to do all that.  There's a good chance that your employer a) doesn't know about this law and hasn't taken steps to be designated a Mother-Friendly business, or b) doesn't care...  HTH!
