Babies: 9 - 12 Months

dry diaper after 12 hours

I changed dd this morning and her diaper was dry.  should I be concerned?  last nite she was changed at around 8, I checked the inside of her cheek and it's moist and slick.  The reason I'm concerned is sat nite she threw up a few times, so the dr said not to give her solids yesterday which I did not, just breastfed all day, no more throw up since sat nite tho.  I just emailed the dr but I thought I would also check in w/ my nesties :)  I hope she is ok.

Re: dry diaper after 12 hours

  • This happened to DS one morning last week and i checked with daycare later that day and he had soaked a couple of diapers, so he was fine.

  • no idea... I think it's really cool that you can email your doctor!

  • As babies get older, they pee less and less when they're sleeping.  So, I wouldn't worry as long as she's still nursing fine and you have more than your normal amount of wet diapers this morning.  If she's still not wetting much this morning, I'd definitely see your doctor.
  • she had a major wet diaper right after I wrote this post, so I hope that means all is well.  thanks :)
