Anyone have a video monitor?

If so, which one? Do you recommend it?

We have a regular sound monitor. Last night, I thought how great it would be to have a video! We just moved DD to her crib and I am still in the phase of wanting to check on her every 5 seconds. But, I dont, because I am scared I will wake her...so I lay awake and torture myself! lol Anyways, a video monitor might be pretty helpful!

we don't have a video monitor but my dh did buy a wireless nanny cam to put up in dd's room. we call it the cali cam.

I love my video monitor!!!  It's the portable kind that looks like a walkie talkie.  I bought it at target online for $120, well worth the money!  I don't even use the sound, I just like to watch her sometimes.  It was nice in the beginning, since she's my first child.  Now I just check on her sometimes to make sure she hasn't turned sideways in her crib, the little monkey!  Definitely get one!

oh and the brand is Mobi.  Only target online has it, it's not available at babies r us.  It's the cheapest portable one.  The large tv like stationary screens are cheaper but not mobile.

seriously, I don't know how people live without one. We have the summer infant brand one with the LCD screen. It's not technically portable, but we move it around and plug it in to whatever room we're in. We use it constantly and it hasn't crapped out on us yet.

We got this Summer Infant Video monitor from BRU and love it. It made the crib transition sooo much easier.

We purchased a security camera and it comes with a handheld monitor.  We have it plugged into the tv in our room however you could just use the handheld part.  It was cheaper than an infant monitor, had night vision and you can add more camera's into the monitor for later.  It's shaped like an eye and above her crib.  DH is really into electronics and reseached it.  It was cheaper and better quality...hope that helps
