Looking at the reply to the post below, I have to ask, what's up with all the chandeliers??? I'm assuming it's a girls room only thing, but I don't get it...
It's just the industry trying to get everyone to spend millions on unnecessary baby decor. Like bedding sets that cost a fortune where you can't even use the bumper and quilt. Yeah, I bought one of those (at least it was cheap) and the bumper never left the closet and the quilt is on the back of the glider, there in case my feet got cold when I was nursing last winter. My child has an overhead light and a ceiling fan. I think he's pretty lucky to have a fan!
I think they're really pretty. And I think it's very stylish right now to have baby and kid's rooms look a little more sophisticated and/or very girly and that's an easy way to do it. You can find them for relatively inexpensive, especially relative to how much I've seen some crib and kid's bedding cost lately - holy guacamole!! We keep thinking that once we buy a new house we'll have the two girls share a room and if we need to replace a light fixture anyway, a pretty chandelier would definitely be an option:) I've been obsessing over little girl's rooms lately - here are some more that I love with chandeliers:

I love the chandeliers. If I have a girl it will definitely have one! There is one for $40 or so at IKEA that is perfect for a little girl?s room.
