Weird pain in butt - is it sciatica?

For a few days now I've had this weird pain in my left butt and kind of in my tailbone.  I mostly feel it when I'm bending over at the waist and need to straighten up.  I'm only 7.5 weeks along, but WTE makes me think it might be early sciatica, only I wouldn't describe it as "excruciating" -- rather it just feels sore, and like I might not be able to support myself.  Has anyone else had this?  Is it sciatica or something else?  What do you do to cope?  Thanks in advance!

It sounds like it could be.  Mine was excrutiating, but when it first started it sounds like you are describing.  I went to my chiropractor and after one visit I felt totally better!

Thanks CMW.  I'll keep the chiropractor in mind in case it gets worse.  By the way, I went to Bend on vacation last year with a group of friends and we loved it.  What a beautiful part of the country!

If it is a more localized pain (rather than a shooting pain like sciatica tends to be), based on where you said it was it may be sacroiliac pain.  I had that during both of my pg's.  I went for a couple of chiropractic visits & felt much better.

yep, that is how mine started. I sat on a heating pad a lot and saw my chiropractor weekly.
