She went in for surgery yesterday.  She's donating a kidney to her BIL, and the transplant was set for yesterday morning.

it is really great that she is doing that!  That is so selfless.  I have heard that transplants can be harder on the donor than the recipient.

It is harder. I've been more worried about her than I was for my own surgery yesterday.
