Hey! I'm not sure if you'll see this, but I just applied for the card and it said this:

We are currently reviewing your application. You will be notified in writing about the status of your application within 30 days.

Is that what it said when you did it, too?  It makes me nervous since I thought it would be an email notification pretty quickly...I'm cutting it too close here, I think!

No, it didn't say that. I got approved instantly. Do you have good credit? Does your dh have better credit? If so, you could apply using his name. I applied using my Dh's name and info (and he doesn't know, but he won't care). 

This might not mean anything, but that happened to me once and I wound up getting denied, but it was for a diff card. (They said they would notify me in writing and they rejected me...blah!)

I do think they are more strict with credit these days though, so maybe that is why.

That's just weird--we bought a house back in May and our credit scores are both around 800, which is pretty high.  I can't imagine why they'd decline us!  Frick.  I guess I'll wait a couple of days and see if I get an email, and if not, I'll just have to fork over the $400 and buy the sucker.

That IS weird. DH's credit was around 750 or so last we checked. I don' think you can get much higher than 800!

That stinks...$150 is a lot off. Maybe you could try calling and asking if you really want the discount. It makes no sense that they would deny you, but it's def strange bc I think it's usually "instant approval".
