~~~femmegem~~~
Just reading your response about it being hard to get into the Xmas spirit.  It was cold tonight though right? ;)
We got our Xmas tree and I swear it was mid-50s.  I *WAS* actually cold. :)
I think it would be tough if I weren't from the area.  But, I notice the minor temp variations because I've lived her so long.  Feels like Xmas to me!
But seriously, I bet you will enjoy the sunshine when Michigan is in the dead of winter?  DH grew up where it snowed a lot and he said that it was fun when he was a kid but he didn't think his dad enjoyed it much when he had to get up and go to work in it day after day. :)
 Anyway, just trying to cheer you up!
Re: ~~~femmegem~~~
  • Aw, you're sweet! I'm cheery, it's just the lack of snow that makes it not feel like the holidays. I'm not complaining, really I'm not. I don't miss the snow per se. It's just not the same if that makes sense.
    And it has been a bit chilly lately. We went out tonight and I was definitely cold.
    But I plan to start wrapping gifts soon, so I hope that will get me in the holiday spirit. And play some Christmas carols.
    Thanks for the post! :)
  • Just need to make sandmen instead of snowmen ;).
    What did you end up deciding on the wording of the back of your card?
  • Loading the player...
  • I put "Missing our friends is hard...But a visit from Santa makes it easier!"
    I ordered them right away because I just wanted to be done with them and then immediately wished I had slept on it because I am a perfectionist and I would have liked to tinker with everything until it was just right, but I'm trying to just stop obsessing and get over it. They're already being shipped so there's nothing I can do about it. I'm sure no one will be as critical of it as I am!
    I wish I had the patience to make a sandman. That picture is so cool!
  • Nah, I think that's perfect...what you changed it to.  I really liked your card BTW, it was a standout for me :)
    I wanna get some kind of software so I can make ours but just haven't gotten around to it.
    The sandman was a PITA actually.  Never again!
  • The sandman turned out really well. I'm impressed that you did it once. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have the tenacity to make it work. But your picture is adorable!
    I know co18 was making cards for people for awhile there. Not sure if she's still doing more, but maybe she'd do one for you?
    And thanks for the compliment on our card. I feel like the whole thing was kind of random. But I'm glad someone liked it!
  • I ended up just ordering from Costco which is what I do every year so it would be cool to know how to do them on my own!  But can't been ~15 for 50 cards ;)
  • Wow, yeah, that's a great price! I think we paid double that for 48 cards, and I thought THAT was a good deal!
