stash in what quantities?

I'm trying to stash in reasonable quantities for when I go back to work, I have

1- 6oz, 5- 4oz., 5- 3oz, and 4-2oz

what have you found to work best? Should I freeze them in 1oz quatities too? In more 6oz. and 8oz quantities? This is probably very trivial, but I'm very OCD about things like this.

Re: stash in what quantities?

  • Mine are all in 4-6 ozs.

  • With DD I would freeze in the quantity she was eating at that time, but that didn't work so well since the bag would get used at a later date. This time I'm just freezing 8oz bags. I figure that by the time I go back, if he gets a bottle he may eat 4oz. Also I just don't want to have so many bags in the freezer.
  • Mine are mostly 4 oz, but I have a few 3 oz and 5 oz in there too.
  • i have 4-6 oz and some 3ozs.  never any 2 or 1oz cause my guy would just want more.
  • I just filled the bag as full as it would go. My mom watches DD during the week and when she would take a bag out of the freezer, she'd just thaw enough for a bottle as she needed it. Then she'd put the bag into the fridge and it was still frozen or at least partly frozen by the them the next feeding rolled around.

  • Mine are all over the place from 1 oz to 8 oz. I didn't mix any, I would just freeze whatever I pumped. That may not have been a good idea, oh well. I would go with 4 oz if I started again.
  • not OCD i stressed about this too.  I try to freeze them in one bottle quantities, so in the beginning i did mostly 2's 3's and some 4's, now i do all 4.5-6oz in each bag.
