My dad invited himself over for lunch on Saturday

My dad and step-mom want to get together before the holidays to give the girls their Christmas gifts.  I invited them over for Saturday - he said 'great, how about lunch?'.  Umm, sure... we have to eat anyway right?  I thought we would do takeout, that's easy enough right.  He called me back a few hours later and told me I should cook for him, because he doesn't want takeout.  "I can do takeout whenever I want, why don't you cook?"   I don't really have anything... getting to the grocery store with 2 children in tow when I work full time, then I'm hosting a cookie swap tonight so I can't get to the store tonight either. 

I told DH and he thought that I should just take one of the dinners that I had planned for and make that for lunch.  So we are having pasta fagioli for lunch tomorrow.  DH will take Riley to the bakery in the morning and they will get some great bread

Now, of course I know I have to cook for my family.  But this really irked me.  Thankfully I have a good enough relationship with my dad that I told him he was being annoying and at this point he will eat whatever I cook.  I'm done babbling now...
