DH proposed to me on Dec 22, 2006. It was a part of our Christmas. We had Christmas with his parents, had our Christmas, watched Its a Wonderful Life, then halfway throught the movie he said I missed a present and he proposed when I unwrapped it and saw it.

I thought it was wonderful and sweet, and wouldn't want it any other way!

DH took me out to dinner for my birthday (the day before b/c we had plans with friends the following day). After dinner we drove up to Niagara Falls to see the sunset...the rest is history.

DH proposed to me on Thanksgiving last year---it was very sweet and original. I always have that to remember and be thankful for on Thanksgiving!

Lol, he said his plan was to buy the ring that day, but didn't want to spend the day without me and couldn't wait any longer. So we went ring shopping that day then out to dinner with friends.

LOL, my DH too. He had this be elaborate plan to pop the question in Disney, he had picked up the ring 2 days before we left, and asked me the morning after he picked it up, I think it was like 8am after we rolled out of bed.

DH knew ahead of time that when we got engaged, I wanted it to be it's own new special day and to not do it on a birthday or holiday.

It was Thanksgiving. I knew it was coming and it sucked because he is an ass on holidays so we had just gotten in an arguement right before.

Not technically! DH proposed on December 4th (it was a Tuesday) at 10:30 at night as we're laying in bed talking about Christmas and what I wanted. It wasn't very romantic, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Needless to say one year ago today I was on cloud nine and couldn't tell anyone. We waited until Christmas to tell our families and then our friends.

We didn't do a proposal. This past summer, on a Saturday afternoon we took a break from gardening and I told the DH that I had hoped to get married in July and he said that was fine with him. We couldn't work it out for July, instead we did it in August. It was more of an agreement, but just a could days shy of my birthday in June.

My Dh Proposed on Christmas day 7 years ago...It was a great day! Although, after that Christmas he feels like he can't get anything better for me than my engagment ring!!
