My mom still did this for me and my sis until way into our twenties.  And there was stuff even better than candy....wine.

I think we're going to start the tradition, but I'm not sure exactly how to do it.  Do I do one stocking for St. Nick's day and then fill it up again on Christmas Eve?  Do I just have the stocking be for St. Nick's day and then have a present from Santa under the tree?  Do I give a present besides the stocking on St. Nick's day?

I'll be in the hospital, but my mom is taking him to the St Nicholas celebration at church.

We don't do Santa. He gets Christmas presents from family.

My mom still gives out stockings FILLED with chocolates & little other things.  We already did ours over Thanksgiving.

We put out our shoes the night before and when we woke up, Saint Nick would have them filled with goodies!
