Crib Mattress Question

in Pregnant after a Loss

Sorry if this has been asked before but are crib mattresses a standard size?  Meaning, will any crib mattress fit into the crib?  Or are there diff sizes?  Or are there specific mattresses to fit certain types of cribs?

    They are all a standard size within a half inch for each dimension.

    They are all standard but they say to check with the crib to make sure that you can't fit more than a fingers width in there... I also read that the firmer the better.

    I've read some reviews that some of the Simmons (or was it Serta) ones dont fit some of the cribs.  I can't qutie figure out which ones should be used w/ which cribs.
