DH and I had originally decided on Owen for our boy name but now like Rowen/Rowan better. It means "little red head" and if we have a boy who follows in DDs footsteps we'll have another red head (which I would love). So I think the name is perfect. Anyway, I know this name can go for either a boy or a girl so which spelling is more "boy"? Websites all say that both can be used for either, so I thought I'd get some real life opinions. The MN would be Scott if that matters.
Re: Rowen or Rowan for a boy?
I really don't think there is a girl/boy version of spelling the name. It's kind of like 'ie' vs. 'y' name endings.
I knew someone in high school named Rowan, I never heard anyone tell him he had a girly name.
