DH's company's holiday dinner is going to be a Fogo de Chao tomorrow night and we've never been (but I'm soooooo excited!). Anyone ever been there? Have any recs for what to try?
I have been twice and like it. My DH loves it! It's good if you're into eating lots of meat. There's not a menu to choose from there - they have the servers that come out with various meats and then the salad bar. There is a drink and dessert menu though. It's a good time - you should enjoy it - just go on an empty stomach so you can eat up a storm! Have fun!
They bring you a little bit of everything and it is all YUMMY! My advice is to skip the salad bar so you don't fill up before they bring the meat!
LOL! This is spoken, as DH would say, like a true Korean. Yeah, don't fill up on bread or drink or salad when you can get as much as the $$$ stuff as you want. hahahaha
OMG - I would rather skip the meat than their salad bar! The salad bar is amazing! roasted veggies, fresh mozzarella, prociutto, etc...
I only get about 1/2 of their meats - you can probably see online what they serve and think about it before hand. i never bother w/ the pork and chicken, i wait for the lamb and bacon wrapped filet medallions.

2. Have a small round at the salad bar. It's worth a tiny trip to see all the yummy things they have up there, but don't fill up!!!
3. Don't bother with the sides that they bring to the table, they are good, but you are wasting stomach space. However, eat a roll, I remember they were yummy.
4. Everything is DELICIOUS. The bacon wrapped chicken and steak is outstanding, but my all time favorite is the roasted pork. i could have eaten the entire skewer.
5. If you can stand it, the desserts are very good as well.

lol, I'm pregnant, I have to eat before I go.
The good thing is that DH's company is german, so we always end up taking like 4 hours to do this dinner, so I'll have LOTS of time to fill up and get hungry again.
Thanks for all the recs, ladies! I'm super excited about tomorrow night!
That place is a carnivores delight! Its all good. I have issues with overeating...and I have never stuffed myself as much as I did there. The meats are TDF and the salad bar is exceptional. Enjoy! I liked the house cocktail also it was potent.

I'm totally with Jen! Their salad bar is my favorite part. The meat gets old to me after a few rounds. I always go back to the salad bar for more!
