Re: MoM's to be Check In

  • I'm not big on themes, but the color scheme is blue and chocolate brown, and there seems to be a lot of polka dots finding their way into the room.
  • QOTD:  Winnie the Pooh.  I already had some Pooh stuffed animals so I just went with that.  I made some curtains with Winnie the Pooh fabric.  I'm so excited - my little sis is coming by Sunday to take some furniture of ours that we're getting rid of to clear out the nursery so then we'll be able to really start decorating.

  • I would like to be added.  My screen name is healthy nut, my due date is June 27th (although I'm assuming it will be earlier), I am having fraternal twins - don't know the gender yet.

Monday:  I did not shop last weekend - I had to work both days.

Tuesday:  I am trusting the no flaming:  While I would love to have a boy and a girl, I would also be happy with two girls.  If it's two boys, I think I will be a bit disappointed.

Wednesday:  I am planning to start my shopping this weekend.

Thursday:  I don't have a theme, but I have been thinking about brown walls ( i know it sounds weird, but the picture is awesome).  Both baby blue and pink look great with the brown and it would solve the problem if there are a boy and girl in there.  I also want to stencil a nursery rhyme with pictures along the top.

  • we are doing bumble bee's. all the bedding is green and yellow. The babies are going to be sharing a room with DSD (we only have her every other weekend) so we needed to keep it neutral.
  • We have pale green walls and the bedding for our son will be with monkeys and the bedding for our daughter will be ladybugs.  I know it sounds likt it doesn't go but it is looking great together.  Hopefully by next week it will be done and I can post some pics :)

  • We have yellow walls in what will be their room already and chocolate brown curtains...I am thinking something with animals, but not sure yet...I like the idea of a jungle theme...we shall see...

  • Jungle!  It will work for both babies!
  • I've nicknamed the nursery scheme "Woodland wonderland" - it's girly birdie/trees/etc. bedding and I'm going to put some branches on the walls . Of course it's all just in my head because I am so superstitious that I won't put anything in there until after they are born.
  • We've got a sailboat/lighthouse/beach theme going on.
fraternal twin boys born january 2009
  • Thurs: I'm still waiting to find outthe sexes of the babies. We should know Jan 8th.  I've seen a few girls I like a lot, not many boys. It's funny prior to being preg I said no pink for girls, now everything i love has pink in it.

  • We do not have a theme. I found some bedding I like online and got it. It is pink, white, brown and orange. I had initial tiles made to match.

  • I am doing beige walls with pink and chocolate brown bedding and matching blue and chocolate brown bedding.  The bedding has dots and stripes.

  • For DD's room we did a patchwork design with sage green and purple stripes on the bottom half of the walls.  Winnie the Pooh also made its way into the room.

If the twins are infact girls I found a large patchwork surfing design at Walmart online I really like.  Then painting the walls a faint pink on top and a teal that matches on the bottom of the boarder.  If they are boys I may go with the blue and brown circles bedding, but really unsure.

  • Thurs: What is your nursery theme? If you don't have one what have you been looking at?

I hearts the Target summersault puppies theme, but won't buy anything until the 2T.

  • Thurs:?What is your nursery theme? If you don't have one what have you been looking at?

We just started looking and bought the bedding on sale 40% off! It is little frogs and ducks! :) We also bought the mobile and a little frog blanket. I figure that whether it is g/g b/g b/b it will fit them all. My husband is a planner so he wanted to start early.

  • i'm not a fan of themes. DS's room is brown/blue.  I'm not sure what i'm going to do with the twins- it all depends on what genders they are... if they are boy/girl i have seem some cute boy/girl crib sets that coordinate with each other - so i'll probably pick one of them and then go with those colors.
