I'm Pregnant!

According to my LMP, I am 5w5d and due July 31st! I am shaking like a leaf right now. I didn't expect it at all (we weren't trying, but we weren't preventing either).

The kicker is I was "infertile" and had to use fertility drugs with DS so I feel SO blessed to have been able to get pregnant on my own. I have been feeling a little nauseous the past week and had one digital left from testing with DS so I POAS and and sure enough PREGNANT!

Please say a little prayer that this little bean stays put MUCH longer than 24w5d. I am nervous since I have IC and will have a cerclage at 14 weeks. I am told I have a 50/50 shot of PTL happening again so I could use a little support and that is what this board is good for.

Also, does anyone know whether or not I should still be nursing if I am high risk?! My PTL had nothing to do with my uterus contracting (my cervix kept shortening), but everything I find on Google says BFing during a high risk pregnancy is not recommended.

I will ask my doctor at my appt on Friday and I obviously can't go cold turkey right this minute so I will continue for now, but I was wondering if anyone has been in this predicament?

I have no idea about the BFing. Good luck with that. I hope you don't have to stop before you're ready to.

Congrats to you and h and h NINE whole months! BTW, I did hear about the risks of PTL from BFing while pg, but I think it is only related to uterine issues.

Congratulations and good luck! I know all of those feelings you are experiencing now. I was going through every one of them 8 months ago. Here I am, full term, begging baby to come out! I hope you have a great and healthy pregnancy and your baby stays put!

Congrats.  Like you we had fertility help to get DD.  Our DS was a complete surprise.  With my son I got the 17P injections starting at week 16.  I delivered him at 37 weeks.  Ask your doc about the 17P injections.  They might be a option for you.

congrats and good luck. i have ic too and got a cerclage last time. i opted to not get it this time because they think i might have gone longer with out it. i get p17 shots and other drugs. im 25 weeks now.
