What did/do your 3-6 mos wear?

I have a bunch of gift cards to Carters and Target so I thought I would check out thier 3-6 month old clothes so I'll be a bit prepaired.  But, I'm unsure what to get them.  Are they still in sleepers most the time and just outfits when you take them out?  What did you find easiest most useful at this age.

  • I was really bad about putting them in real outfits at that age. ?They almost always wore sleep and plays. ?At 6 months I started putting them in outfits everyday.
  • I could not (and still can not) get by without the carters onesies and pants sets.  I put those on the girls most days.....

  • With my first - a singleton - I dressed her up in real outfits every day. This time around it just wasn't practical. We used sleepers - I love the ones that zip the best because they make for the fastest changes - or onesies with the elastic waist pants. Or just onesies :) Nothing too fancy.

If you have babies that are spitters or shi... boy, I'm going someplace crass with that one :) If your babies are prone to outbursts of the bodily fluid variety, you'll be doing lots of changes. Simple to dress and easy to wash is best :)
  • Onesies, sleepers, gowns and anything soft and practical.  Outfits are still a little unnecessary and can be uncomfortable for them at that age.

  • At 3-6m, it was Summer, so mine wore T-shirts & shorts. ?(Personally, I never liked onesies.) ?As it got colder, I loved the one-piece rompers, but also put them in lots of shirts/pants outfits b/c it seemed like I'd usually need to change a top (drool, spit-up) OR a bottom (diaper leak), LOL! ?You also might want to invest in a couple of Halo Sleep Sacks (Target sells them I think) for the transition from swaddling. ?They make cotton knit & fleece ones, depending on what season you'll be in. ?
  • Mostly jammies! Jax has to because of his g-tube, but we do put pants/tops on brady once in awhile. since we're quarantined to the house this winter it will be lots of sleep and plays!! summer will be different I'm sure!!
