Just out of curiosity, is it really that common or am I just one of the lucky one's that either never has it or never catches it in time? We use Pre-seed during the fertile period is that enough or am I doomed without EWCM?
I'm sure you are not doomed! I don't really getEWCM. Mine is more watery than EW. As far as the books asying you can stretch EWCM for like 6 inches, maybe theirs but not mine!
Back in my "yout", I had some serious EWCM. That was before I knew anything about fertility and I was disgusted with myself for being so slimy. <sigh> Now I hardly have any- age and years of BCP have diminished it. What I do have is more watery, like PP said. Pre-seed wouldn't exist if everyone had tons of EWCM so don't fret too much.
I always get watery CM I never really see EWCM and I know watery CM is also fertile. I also got some Pre-seed and plan to use it this cycle. I was pretty dry two cycles ago so I was so glad to get some watery fertile CM on my own this last cycle.
I had much more in my younger days! It is still there but not like the inches and inches they show you in tcoyf. I drink green tea which seems to help. You are not doomed!

Thanks Ladies ~ I have never had a problem with dryness, and I feel like I have quite a bit of CM. Like you all said though it's watery and sure as heck doesn't stretch for inches. Not feeling so abnormal anymore
I thought I was the only one not having EWCM. I thought I was doomed not to coneive because of this. Thought it might be related to getting off of the BCP. I used to get EWCM in my younger days but now it seems to be just watery....
Has anyone ever heard that Evening Primrose Oil from menstruation to ovulation can improve cervical mucus?
I've been taking Evening Primrose from CD1 to O but I haven't noticed much of a difference. A lot of people swear by it. I read that BCP for a long time can caus the cervical crypts to atrophy and not produce so much mucous. It said it can return but it takes a while.
i noticed it for the first time on this past cycle which was my fourth off BCP. Unfortunately it did not correlate with my LH surge according to the OPK. So what does that mean? Not much I guess. My OB said she doesn't put much stock in cervical fluid because some people don't get it and it doesn't always correlate with the time of O. I think she is super smart so I take her word on it.

Oh that's nice to hear. I like your OB. I have the hardest time figuring out which stage it is in anyway. Don't even get me started on trying to figure out my cervical opening
