Hi ladies, this is the Central Pa, moms-to-be check-in, which will be posted once a week. If you would like to be added to the list please respond below with your EDD, what # child this is for you, and if you know what you're having.
I'm sorry that I didn't copy the previous list from the old board so we are missing some moms-to-be on here.
**Please respond with some QOTW ideas too if you have any. Thanks & have a great day!!

QOTW
1) Do you plan to cloth diaper or use disposables? Feel free to list any reasons for your choice.
2) How are you feeling? Any updates?
Re: *** Central Pa Moms-to-be Check-In ***
1. We are using disposables.
2. Im feeling pretty good. Today I am sleepy but it isnt that bad. Last night the baby had me up a few times moving around.
I had an appt. on Monday and Im measuring right on track. He is head down too. I will be finishing up childbirth classes next Tuesday and then I have a breastfeeding class the following week.
Time is flying by!
Hi Everyone! I've been quite the lurker for sometime now, and thought I should come out hiding. Especially when I see there's no March babies above and I have one on the way!
You can add my name above - due 3/4/09.
To answer your questions, I'm hoping to use cloth diapers - I'm still in the process of convincing my husband though! I'm about 26-27 weeks along, feel great, I'm not knocking things over with my stomach yet, so things are good!
Mrskatieb, EDD 2/25/09 baby #1
I'm sort of lurker on here and I feel horrible cause I know people hate that but this board has helped me through alot.
1. Plan to use disposables. Hopefully pampers will work with this little one since that's what costco carries.
2. I'm soooooooo uncomfortable. My back is killing me more than ever. Still have a little ways to go until Feb. Can't wait.
1. Disposables. Mostly because I'll be using daycare and they won't deal with cloth.
2. Well after my visit to L&D Thanksgiving night I feel pretty good. I have an appt today and another u/s next Thursday. Can't wait to see my little girl again!
1. Disposables
2. Feeling good. Updates: I spoke to a nurse yesterday about the results from my ultrasound. She told me I have a low lying placenta, not touching my cervix, but still very low. She said that in most cases the placenta moves with your uterus as it grows and shouldn't be a problem. They still need to monitor it to make sure, so another ultrasound was scheduled for my next appointment on MLK day. I hope to see progress!
1. Disposables
2. I'm still feeling pretty good. Very tired at night and hoping for my energy back at some point. I will hit 13 weeks this weekend! I have a Dr. appt on Monday so I'll feel good after hearing Pumpkin's heartbeat.
We will be using disposables.
I had an ultrasound to test for abnormalities. The baby measured in at 15 weeks not 14 so they moved my due date up to May 14th and said I was a week farther along then they thought.
1. diapers
2. I'm feeling extremely pregnant and ready for baby to come! I tested positive for my Group B strep test...which is a little scary.
Welcome to the new ladies who have come out from lurking!! Great to have you here!
1) I'm interested in cloth diapers and plan to meet with LClaire to learn some more. I'm not 100% certain that we'll go with cloth but I'd like to learn more about it and try it out. I've checked out my friend's BumGenius's and it seems easier than I thought. That particular kind are very similar to disposables (except for cleaning) so I'm hoping that we can convince the daycare to use them since we'll have him there 3 days a week. The only difference for the daycare would be putting them in a bag instead of the trash. If they don't go for it then he'll be in disposables for those 3 days. I'm keeping an open mind about it so if it doesn't work out then that's ok too.
2) I'm feeling pretty well. I'm waiting on a pair of graduated compression hosiery to help combat vericose veins. I should have been wearing them much earlier but slacked in submitting the script to my insurance co. I'm sure they'll be quite attractive but it's better than the consequences of not wearing them.
TTC since Jan 07. Dx with PCOS Jan 08
1. Cloth - I can't wait to try the cute teeny tiny diapers I have waiting on a newborn! We didn't start CDing with Amelia until she was about 6 mos. And - totally plugging myself here - if anyone is considering cloth and just doesn't know where to begin, let me know - I'm more than happy to help!
2. I've been feeling much better lately. I don't think I ever felt this good the last time, so I'm happy and so very thankful for that!
1. Disposables - i have an awful gag reflex and there is just no way i'm going to be scraping poop. If they have some more environmentally friendly ones, i'll pay a little more for those.
2. I feel great other than being tired. I had my check in appt with my dr yesterday and they took blood and a urine sample so it makes me a little more optomistic that I didn't hear anything yet. I havve my first actual appt on the 17th. The intake coordinator also said I was due on the 11th and not the 14th. I don't know if it changed bc I knew exactly when I ovulated or what.
Welcome to the former lurkers!
1. Disposables, for now. If by some miracle I can be a SAHM, I'll look into cloth, but until that happens, disposables.
2. I'm feeling really good. I'm measuring right where I should, I'm not that uncomfortable yet, and I think I'm even sleeping better! My shower was this past weekend and we got lots of great stuff that I can't wait to use! I have my 3 hour glucose test tomorrow. I didn't fail the 1 hour that badly, so I'm hoping I pass with flying colors, but I am not looking forward to hanging out in the hallway waiting area of the health center for 3 hours.
Can I be added?
Megan, EDD 8.04.09.
Thanks!
1. Disposables all the way. It takes me forever to do my own laundry. I put it off until I literally have nothing left! My poor kid would be wrapped in newspaper while I manage to do laundry LOL.
This is my first baby, boy, EDD 1/2/09
1 I am useing diaper service it's cheaper and I'm not a fan of all the chemicals in disposable diapers.
2 I'm so sore I can't wait for it to be January!
