go to doc or not?

I am not sure what to do about DS's Complaint.  On Tuesday and Wednesday night he complained his ear hurt. Just one ear and always the same one.  Then nothing until tonight he said his ear hurt again.  I am not sure if I should take him in to have it looked at or if it is just a fluke thing. He has only had one other ear infection and I didn't have any clue.  I took him in because I thought he put a crayon in his ear.

Does he have a fever? Any congestion? I'd probably go just to be safe.

I would want more "data" otherwise I'd probably wait it out.  Maybe he's just picking at it and hurts himself or something silly like that.

And besides, drs are trying to NOT treat ear infections as readily because these little strains are becoming completely resistant to all drugs.
