Okay. I'm really sick. I can't breathe at all. I've always had allergies, but usually I go to the doctor when I am this congested and after a steroid shot, I'm much, much better for the next four months or so. I'm right at ten weeks, and I'm really tired of not being able to breathe. Any suggestions? Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so, what medications have your doctor approved for dealing with this?
Re: Congestion/Allergies. I can't stand it anymore.
I would call the doctor. They are things you can take that won't harm the baby, you just have to find out what your doc recommends.
I've been told by a few people that Sudafed is safe for congestion, but I tend to go to the professionals first and this hasn't been confirmed!
I am soooooo with you right now!! For the past couple days now, i've been so congested I can't breathe! My dr. approved sudafed and benadryl for me. So that has been my saving grace. Also something that helps overnight, a warm mist humidifier and vicks liquid in it. That breaks up the congestion and keepy my sinuses moist.
HTH
call your doc. Most say sudafed is OK.
you should also have a humidifyer in every room of the house (i do- it has helped to keep my migraines away)... and use saline spray or a neti pot.
