DS is in the very not fun stage of hitting things and people when he gets excited.  He came up to me while I was sitting on the couch, he was very excited, and he hit me on the stomach.  As always, I told him "no hitting" and gave him my stern look.  But this time I added "you have to be careful. there's a baby in there." as I was pointing at my stomach.  He looked up at me with his sad face as if to say he was sorry and then pointed at my stomach and said "baby" with a big smile!  Then he just patted my stomach nicely and said "baby" again!  It was the cutest thing ever!  I know he's too young to truely understand but it was still really exciting!
