I want to make a copy of our ultrasound picture for my MIL and Mom. Has anyone made a copy on a copy machine or their computer? Not sure if it would be to dark.
cafeful, our tech warned us not to because ours is on heat sensitive paper and would ruin it. not sure if this is common but i'd call and check first so you don't lose the memory!
actually it's recommended you make a copy/scan because the paper is likely to go bad after a couple years. it's heat sensitive and will fade over time. I would scan so you can adjust the colors if it's too dark.
I just went to Walgreens and used their scanner and put them on a cd and printed myself an extra copy. When I got home I made a copy of the cd and gave that to my mom and MIL.
I tried to copy mine with a copy machine because I wanted a copy for the inlaws quick and we weren't going home before4 we went to their house. It didn't work at all! you couldn't hardly see the baby on the copy. Scanning worked well though.
DO NOT use a copy machine. Our tech told us to scan it instead because the paper the pic is on is thermal paper. A copy machine uses to much heat and will ruin your pic. I don't know if this is true as I just did as she told me and only scanned it.
I put all the images on my thumbdrive and then went to Walgreen's and printed pics.

The thermal paper only lasts like 5 yrs.
