I want to get a little something for our family Dr. and his team for Christmas since they are so good at fitting us in and even seeing us on weekend and other non-office hours. ?He and his staff are quite young and healthy types. ?I don't want to do chocolates/nuts/bakes goods baskets etc. for that reason. ?I thought of fresh fuit but did not know how that would hold up in the office.
?What do you think of making a donation in their names? ?I was going to go though world vision and get a 30 day supply of antibiotics for children in Africa... I thought it merried their love of children and their work field. ?I was also going to give them each a gc to a local coffee shop/bakery. ?DH does not seem convinced.. What do you think? ?Any other ideas?
?
TIA:)?
Re: Good gift idea or no?
If your DH is not sure about the donation, you could always donate money to a hospital like SickKids, or to a Cancer charity. Bakery treats are always yummy too
I think the idea sounds great!
I think a fresh fruit basket would be appriciated. Fruit usually lasts about a week, so with 4-10 people eating on it, it would go quick.
What about those edible arrangements (usually made of fruit)?
I liked your idea of making a donation in their name.
I just wanted to add something about baked gifts ... I was a teacher and I NEVER ate any of the food the kids gave me just because I didn't know the cleanliness of their houses, etc. I know your situation is different, but I'd hate for you to go through all of the trouble of baking something and have them not eat it.
