Why do people RSVP yes and not show up?

Why do people rsvp yes and not show up? It aggravates me so much! We were having mys sons bday party today becuase he turns two on December 12th and with all the holidays coming up and parties I did it a little early this year. Thirty people responded that they were coming and ONLY 7 out of thiry people showed up they all canceled lastnight and this morning and had the nerve to tell me to reschedule it to a later date for a friends party. Just our family came to his party. I wouldnt have had to spend so much if I new only our family was coming ugh now I have fifteen goodie bags left

YOu can send me a goody bag, but only if it has chocolate in it!

Because they are rude and dont care! Same thing happened to me at my wedding! I dont get it... i say no if im not going to go. Sorry that happened hope you guys still had fun!

He is so into Curious George now. so I got the pre made Curious George goodie bags and added Play-doh and modeling clay and for the girls that were coming I also adding really cute notebooks and pens

They do it because they are a$$holes and their mothers did not raise them right.

this is a pet peeve of mine. I think you should be allowed to bill them for the extra goodie bags and leftover food.

Your post caught my eye b/c I threw a 30th bday party for dh last night and there were 6 people that rsvp'd yes and then did show or call.  It's fine if people can't come but at least give us some notice and let us know!  I was annoyed with those people last night.
