Allowing baby to fall asleep on their own; if DC starts crying, going in to check on him/her to let DC know you're still there but not picking up/rocking etc. Checks on are intervals -- 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, 15 min etc. (no more than 15 min apart) until baby falls asleep.
We used Sleepeasy (it worked incredibly well for us), but I haven't read Ferber. Sleepeasy is about creating the right atmosphere and routine for sleep, as well as teaching them to self-soothe. Another component was dropping night feedings using dreamfeeds.

Hey, thanx!!!
Boy, that sounds alot like Ferber's method, no? Do you happen to know the difference(s) between them?
