This is probably old news on this board, but I was one of the people that tried to buy the marathon seat at the ridiculous price, and I recently got an email offering a $25 gift card. I'm tempted to use it, but the line that says by using it I am basically releasing them from responsibility makes me think twice. Can someone update me on the general consensus regarding this? TIA!

were you really thinking of suing to get the carseat for $40?  If so, don't use the card and be prepared to lose.  If not, happy $25 to you

Do you plan on sueing them? Do you plan on filing a complaint against them to the BBB?  If not, then use it!

Why are they responsible in the first place? It was a mistake. Do you ever make mistakes? Use the $25 and be happy that you got something for nothing.

Ditto.  OR you could use the $25 to buy toys for tots.

Hippy, that is a great idea about the toys for tots, but I used it before I read your response. I will be donating new toys anyway though!

Gosh, it seems you just can't ask a question anymore without ppl getting their panties in a knot! I'm glad you were able to use it for whatever you bought. Happy Holidays!
