Hi. I'm new to this board (my intro was a couple weeks ago). I am on month/ cycle 7 of TTC; CD 14. Yesterday was IUI #1! It was easier than I anticipated and I was able to schedule acupuncture both before and right after. I triggered on Saturday night and I haven't seen a significant temp spike yet. Is that normal?
QOTW: I don't love scary movies but I liked Nightmare on Elm Street when I was a kid.

CD 9 for me so heading into fertility window. I think I am still feeling some of the effects of the Letrazole...I'm still just so tired lately! Yesterday I was doing so well, and then hit a wall around 2pm. I keep thinking how lovely it would be to take a week off of work to recoup....but seeing as my last week vacation was only a couple of months ago I'll just have to wait.
QOTW: I love horror movies/slasher films. My all time favorite I don't really find scary anymore, but to me it's a classic slasher film...and that would be 'Scream'. For me it is a must watch in October.
Hey Ladies! I'm currently cd4 and getting ready for my first RE appt next Monday. I'm nervous, upset to think it got to this point when my OB constantly said "since you got pregnant once it's a good sign you can do it again"....17 months later I guess she was wrong, and I'm a little excited to think just maybe we can get some answers. That being said I'm 100% dreading another holiday season with no progress...we started this journey in Oct 2013 so this will be our fourth holiday season with empty arms. Ok end rant..
Hi all! CD10 here and nothing to report since we're on a medication/IUI hiatus. Three weeks later and DH's urologist still hasn't gotten back to us on his blood work so we can get him started on a drug to improve his motility. Now I'm just annoyed. DH is supposed to reach out again today.
@laurad75 Welcome to the thread! I usually see a small increase for a couple of days after trigger and then a big increase maybe 2 or 3DPIUI. Can you post your chart?
@hoffmanr7 I hope your sleepiness dissipates once you stop the letrozole!
@soontobemamahowe Good luck with your RE appointment! I hope you get the answers you need!
QOTW I generally hate horror films; I watched "Scream" from behind a pillow and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" I stared at the movie theater floor. That said, I do like "The Others" and "What Lies Beneath," but I classify those as more thrillers.
Thanks @Bababatty. Chart is in siggy.
My temps were crazy the beginning of my cycle because I was on the west coast for a week. I still temped at the same time every morning but it was technically 3 hours later. I guess I had a temp spike on Sunday morning but that would be too early for O if I triggered on Saturday night.

@laurad75- good luck with your IUI! Your chart may not be easy to interpret with the different time zones for temping unfortunately.
@hoffmanr7 - letrozole makes me so tired too! It also gives me really bad headaches ugh.
@SoonToBeMommaHowe - I hope the RE gives you some good insight next week! I hear ya on the holidays thing - I was thinking that yesterday about Halloween, and how certain I've been that "this will be the year" we have a little one to dress up, hang a stocking for, etc etc. Holidays are rough.
@Bababatty - waiting to hear about results is the worst! Hopefully your persistence pays off and they get back to you soon. I'm still curious about what the urologist says!
As for me, I'm currently cycle day #5 taking another round of letrozole. My luteal phase proved to be short again at 9 days despite the letrozole which I thought might help. We got an "advanced" semen analysis result back that the nurse couldn't interpret for us so we've booked an early followup with the RE for December. On the plus side the count increased from 8 mill to 11 mill so I think we're heading in the right direction there.
My parents are coming to visit me soon and my mom wants to go shopping for fabric to make a baby quilt. She knows about our struggles and I just know this is going to be an emotional shopping trip.
QOTW: I really hate horror movies! When I was a teen I liked "Final Destination" if that counts...
Married since 2011 TTC since Oct 2014 DOR + MFI 3 failed IUIs; IVF August 2017
I had my luteal monitoring appt with the RE this morning (6 dpo) and they confirmed that I ovulated and that my lining looks good. Now I'm just waiting another week to see if AF shows. If so, I'll go in for a baseline and hysteroscopy before making a treatment plan.
QOTW: Ooh, I can't do scary movies! I have nightmares if I even watch a commercial for one! Lol.

Hey all, 9dpIUI here, I just started testing out my trigger (still faint positive today). FX for the next few days that it will actually get darker instead of lighter.
Anyone watching the world series tonight? I'm not really a baseball fan, but I have a few friends who are major cubs fans, so we have are FX they will win again tonight.
Favorite scary movie? I think Pet Semetary is the scariest, and I just watched Colonia with Emma Watson and that was pretty scary/suspenseful. I would highly recommend!

Hi, I'm new too, like @laurad75 - my intro was just a few days ago. I'm CD8, and - in a twist - using the Clearblue Advanced Fertility monitor this week, rather than any of the other drug store OPKs (I swear, I went into like 6 dollar stores, and couldn't find these elusive dollar store OPKs that everyone talks about). I'm also (ahem) co-hosting a baby shower for my little sister this weekend. I'm expecting the nicest thank you card since the dawn of man, and probably should let her know I could use a manicure.
I don't do scary movies at all! The closest I'll get is a psychological thriller - the thought of even watching a trailer for Texas Chainsaw Massacre makes me anxious. I can't even really do scary books - I had to read the last chapter of Girl on the Train before I could read the rest of it.
Wishing everyone a very good week, with embryos for all!
Found out that I didn't have a particial blockage but I do have inflammation of my left tube. They didn't seem to concerned about it and said surgery would be up to me. They recommended skipping medicated/timed cycle and do IUI.
Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover treatment so until we can save the money for the IUI we will continue to try on our own. I am going to ask to see if we can do clomid in the mean time since I know my body responded to it.
I'm on CD 6 of cycle 20. I'm benched from doing a medicated cycle because of a large cyst. We'll still be trying naturally but I'm not even temping this month.
@seethosestars My LP didn't increase with Clomid either. I was really hoping they could do something about that. My NP thought that maybe if we increased the dose to 100 it might help.
QOTW: I don't do scary movies. I accidentally signed up for an English course in college that focused on Horror movies. I tried to drop it but it was a required low-level class with no other openings for other themes. I talked to the professor and she gave me the mildest films she could and even "Lady in White" made me cry.

Hi Girls!! Well my cyst is gone but my TNF is back to being undetectable One step forward, two steps back. Ugh!!! Therefore, we are going to do a monitored, natural cycle with a trigger injection but I am not feeling very hopeful. I feel like I have been slacking on diet and exercise- well I know I have and my doc said 30 min of cardio per day helps raise my TNF so I really do not have an excuse...

My update unfolded in that Throatpunch Tuesday thread. Ultrasound yesterday afternoon. I had a 2.36 cm folli on my right side, 6 or so over 1 cm on my left. No idea what that means but the OBGYN was excited.
After some stressful shenanigans, I got my Ovidrel and injected myself last night to prep for my IUI at 11am tomorrow. I thought the injection would be worse - it was way easy.
Just waiting now. Thinking good for you all.
QOTW: I hate scary movies. I do like drama/thriller/true crime stuff. End of Watch is up there.
Yesterday called our insurance company and they told me that they do cover blood work and ultrasounds in a cycle they don't cover the actual IUI or medications with the cycle. Called the woman who deals with the insurance at my RE and she said no they don't. I even told her to call them and she said that they are contracted with the insurance company that if they don't cover IUI then they can't bill the insurance for the BW and ultrasounds.
Called another fertility place and they told me that everything would be covered just not the actual IUI or medications. I would hate to switch REs but if one is going to pay for my treatments then that's what I'm going to have to do.
@ReesaAnne16 thanks. I don't feel very strong but I'm making it through a little at a time.
Thanks everyone for the kind words and thoughts. They are going to test me in a few weeks for reoccurring miscarriages to see if there's anything my blood that shows up. As usual just gotta wait it out.

@Worldtravler0522 I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss. We're all here for support!
I've been out of touch for a couple months after IVF/ICSI #3 didn't work with 2 beautiful day-3 embryos. We were pretty shocked that it failed. However, since we had 5 frozen embies, we decided to go forward right away with our FET to be done before any scheduling conflicts with the holidays. I've been pretty silent about it hoping that it would help with my obsession over every tiny detail! So much for that now!
Anyway, I was on lupron to quiet my ovaries for a few weeks in October, then started Estrogen to plump up my lining. By Nov 2, we were ready and had the FET done. The big surprise was that with the way the embryos were stored and thawed and survived, we ended up with THREE growing embryos ready for transfer rather than two. Made the hard decision to transfer all three (despite the risk of triplets and/or having to do a selective reduction later). So now I'm about 6dp3dt and in the middle of the miserable tww.
Not sure how I feel about it this time. A big part of me feels like I will never be pg.... even with 60-80% chance of statistical success this time around. If it doesn't work, then we're all out of embryos (2 of our remaining 5 didn't survive the thaw), so we'd be back to square one!
For now, we wait. Another few days before I'll even try to POAS. Can't stand the thought of seeing only one line.
Qotw: I also don't like scary movies, but I've loved watching Stranger Things on netflix lately.
I've been on a little bit of a bump break but I just checked this board and my heart broke. @Worldtravler0522 I am so very sorry for your loss. Your attitude towards the whole situation is amazing, you are such a strong woman

I'm not a fan of scary movies, never have been.
@laurad75 hoping your IUI does the trick!
@hoffmanr7 do you get a three day weekend for Veterans Day? Maybe that will help you catch up on some sleep

2017 - egg retrieval #1 - 3 eggs, 0 embryos appropriate for transfer; ER #2 2 eggs, 0 embryos on day 3; ER #3 1 egg 0 embryos

Oct 2020 BFP!
Take a look at my blog

@soontobemommahowe I hope your appointment goes well!
Lol.

BFP 11/5/2016 ~ EDD 7/19/2016
9dpIUI here, I just started testing out my trigger (still faint positive today).

NO! I don't do scary movies. XD
I need to go get blood work done to check my levels. I am in the middle of a move so I'm not getting it done.

I'm back We lost our little one around 8 weeks. I am currently on CD2 if you can even call it that since really I'm just having my miscarriage happen. I'm not sure what's next or when we will be able to do another transfer. In any case I'm so sad to be back but happy I have a place to come back to.
