@frustrated and ttc they are horrible. I'm on those and pio, my re said yesterday maybe we'll take you off poi next week but the crinone you'll be on the full first trimester. I honestly don't know which one I hate more haha.
So we are back in ER again not for me this time it's for DH. He had pains in abdominal area and he decided to throw up on the floor of the bathroom which I cleaned Jo at 2am. Turns out he needed to have his appendix removed. Just waiting for him to get out of surgery hopefully everything goes ok I'm praying
@frustrated and ttc Yup, that is exactly why when my RE tried to get me to do PIO and supps, I said nope! I knew if I was going to be getting a shot in my butt everyday, I might as well have a dry and UTI free downstairs!
Oh no @ultratomato! Luckily you caught it early enough that they could do surgery! I hope everything goes okay and he recovers quickly!

Hated them too @frustrated and ttc it's such a messy business. I got warned by my friend as she knew what I would get myself into. But boy did I wash sheets and clothes way more often! Was so happy, yet scared, when I could stop at 10 weeks.
Oh boy @ultratomato! You and DH know how to have fun. Hope you've recovered from your PIO bruises thingy (can't remember what it was called) and that your DH will recover soon. Now promise us you two(four) stay out of trouble for a wee bit!
@frustrated and ttc, once my friend explained what they were like, I told my RE I would rather just keep doing intramuscular shots (so I'm with you, @AandDM2014. I was nervous when I stopped too, @tvh1982! But I figured my RE knew a lot more than I did, and also, I was pretty sick of giving myself shots.
@ultratomato, oh you poor things. Get some Ben & Jerry's core ice cream. Speedy recovery to your husband!
I've already had a kidney infection once because of them and I think I might be getting one again. This sucks. I just ordered three more boxes but when I'm done I think I might actually ask to switch to PIO. I'm somewhere in my 7th week (I think 7+4) and my doctor said I had to use them til 14 weeks! SEVEN MORE LOOOOONG WEEKS TO GO. Did I mention I take them 3 times a day?
Thanks ladies DH is doing great and hopefully will be released from the hospital today. I also had the progesterone suppositories because I got a uti from it and you always had to wear a pad and it was gross
@ultratomato glad to hear DH is doing well. Wishing him a speedy recovery!
@frustrated and ttc the suppositories are not fun, especially multiple times a day. Hang in there, you'll be off them soon!

@babylonghorn16@AandDM2014 Of course you want to try to eat healthy, but if you are super sick, just getting SOMETHING in your stomach is better than nothing. Do your best and as soon as something healthy sounds good, eat that, but don't beat yourself up too much.

@babylonghorn16@AandDM2014 - I agree with @dragonfaerie - eating something is better than nothing. Especially in the 1st trimester when you are feeling kinda crummy. My OB told me that I could always supplement some of the nutrients I was missing with fortified juice or a smoothie.

this may be a more appropriate question for some of you ladies in your 3rd trimester...If your insurance covers a breast pump, how did you choose the one you went with? I have several options and I'm leaning between 2 (medella or spectra) but I figured I'd ask you ladies how you decided as well.

@babylonghorn16 I am with you on the coffee. I had decided earlier this week that there is no way I can be one of the pregnant women who gives up coffee completely, so I decided I would have one lovely cup for breakfast. Well, bean sprout has other plans! It makes me feel awful now. I'm so sad. Today was my first smell aversion. Our supermarket has a large seafood counter. Omg. I had to jog walk away from it. I thought I was going to puke in my hand. Also, a question. I am in a wedding at the end of Oct. Lord willing, I will be close to the end of my first trimester. I have to order my bridesmaid's dress and I'm worried about what size to go with. I normally wear a 2. Should I go with a 4 just to be safe? *edit for spelling/auto-correct correction

@babylonghorn16@aanddm2014 ugh that's how I was . You basically need to just eat whatever sounds good . Even if it's crazy . Somehow I didn't gain much eating total shit in my first tri . Not sure how . It was bagels, bagels , more bagels and goldfish . Lol . Hope y'all feel better soon . I know it feels like food will always be disgusting . Once I hit like 16 weeks everything shifted from being so gross to so delicious .
@griffin5413 you just reminded me I need to get on that . I suppose I should call my insurance and see what they cover . I've heard great things about the Medella but to be honest have not done a ton of research .

clt2pwm11 I have an aversion to coffee now. Once in a while I can have iced coffee, but hot coffee just sounds terrible. I listen to the Wee and just avoid it in general. As for your maid's dress, I basically fit perfectly into a size (only a little big in the bust) and when I was 15ish weeks I was in a wedding and still wore that size. It was only a little tight in the hips as it was a mermaid-style. If this is your first baby, you probably won't be too much bigger. The lady I ordered my dress from basically asked me how the original size fit me, and then based on how far along I would be she advised me to just stick with it. It depends on the cut of the dress. Likely your bust will be bigger, but not much else.

@dragonfaerie I have not. We were supposed to order them online. I figure if I get the 4, worst comes to worst it might be a tad loose, but I think with the added boobage, it might actually fit ok. (Also this was a very quick engagement, so it's not that I'm a terrible bridesmaid but just that we recently got the dress info!)

I can relate to the food aversion. Like others said, try healthy, but main thing is to eat. Keep everything working, as that was what they worried about with me when I got food through IV that my intestines would go on strike. Been told that eating the same food everyday is ok, just eat and remember your prenatal vitamins to pick up the slack.
I see the dilemma about the dress. I perfectly fitted my clothes, but I had lost 20lbs..so I'm a bad example. Are you (or anyone close) good with a sew machine? I would go for a size bigger and fix it if it really should be too loose. But I think you would love it to be a little loose as I hate tight not stretchy clothes during my pregnancy.
clt2pwm11 Yeah, with the tighter sash around the waist and potentially MUCH larger breasts (I had to buy a bigger bra in my second or third month) you don't want to be uncomfortable. As @tvh1982 said, if you or someone near you is handy with a sewing machine or at least pins, you'll probably be okay to go for the size up.

Lots to catch up on this week! @mskeenan it sounds like we do similar work! It has been tough, I just take it one day at a time and do nothing but rest when I'm at home. I'm planning to work til my due date, unfortunately really can't afford time off before having the baby.
@tvh1982 glad your contractions have stopped. Thanks for the description, I've wondered a couple times if I've had Braxton hicks and I'm thinking now that I've had either those or the real thing!
@Griffin5413 my insurance gives me the choice between medela or ameda. I've done a lot of reading online and I am planning to go with the medela pump in style advanced. It sounded best for me with going back to work and what I will need. I looked for blogs of other working moms to try to get real advice.
Hang in in there all with food aversions! Basically everything except carbs and cheese made me sick until I was 21/22 weeks. I survived on mac & cheese, pizza, and bagels. My doctor told me whatever I could eat was good.
@babylonghorn16 I ate nothing but dill pickle chips and ramen noodles in the first trimester. Don't feel bad. It's all about survival.
@Griffin5413 I have several options with my insurance company so I had to do a ton of research. I ended up going with the one my friends used and loved, which is the medela. Another tip I got was to get washable cotton breast pads as opposed to the disposable ones. I was told they do not feel good on sore, sensitive nipples. And for milk storage I hear that the Lansinoh bags are the best. They store well and pour well.

Past Treatment: Clomid + Metformin x 3 BFN
Letrozole 5 mg + Trigger shot + IUI = BFP!
Beta confirmed 8/22
EDD 5/1/17
@griffin5413 you just reminded me I need to get on that . I suppose I should call my insurance and see what they cover . I've heard great things about the Medella but to be honest have not done a ton of research .
**BFP and loss warning**
As for your maid's dress, I basically fit perfectly into a size (only a little big in the bust) and when I was 15ish weeks I was in a wedding and still wore that size. It was only a little tight in the hips as it was a mermaid-style. If this is your first baby, you probably won't be too much bigger. The lady I ordered my dress from basically asked me how the original size fit me, and then based on how far along I would be she advised me to just stick with it. It depends on the cut of the dress. Likely your bust will be bigger, but not much else.

Thanks for the advice, @dragonfaerie. This is the dress. The cinchy waist part is what worries me the most I think.

No tips on breastpumps, sorry.
