Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies?
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? I'm 35, will be 36 at the end of the month!
How are you feeling? Still generally pretty good although I had a fierce headache starting wednesday thru this morning. I was also totally exhausted for 2 days fortunately I have Thursdays off so I was able to rest. I felt like I couldn't get a deep enough breath for about 36 hours. Anyway, I feel fine today but the last couple of days were rough.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Still waiting on my glucose test and rhogram in about 2 weeks. If i continue to have days like wed and thurs I will call the doctor to see whats up.
Baby Amy has been moving around A LOT! sometimes I canfeel the outline of her little foot... fer sher! It's awesome!
Rants/Raves/Questions: I am a gamer. I finally got a Wiimote and classic controller so I can play the Super Mario RPG which I have been DYING to play since we got a Wii U at Xmas. Still waiting for Bethesda to release a backeards compatible version of Skyrim for Xbox1 tho.... but pumped to see that Microsoft has released a development app for the Xbox1. Cant wait to try that out and do some comp design!
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies? I posted my workout routine on the board not to long ago do I am keeping up with that although sometines I have trouble breathing.... i don't do as much on those days. Still walking too! I am looking forward to joining the new gym near my house so I can use their pool!
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? 38...will be 39 when baby comes!
How are you feeling? Ah, just getting more uncomfortable by the day. Lots of cramping and heartburn has made it's return this week. Other than that, I really cannot complain for being this far along
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) My next appointment is next week.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Excited that it is officially April which means baby will be here NEXT MONTH!! AHHHH!
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies?
I work full time and have 2 kids, so that keeps me pretty active (LOL)! I wouldn't have time right now to add exercise in even if I wanted to. I guess I could be eating healthier. A far as getting back in shape, honestly, breastfeeding helped me so much with my first two children. The weight practically melted off! Hoping it's the same for this one, although I am a bit older now.
How are you feeling? Add me to the "didn't sleep last night" camp. I was up feeling anxious about various things, and thirsty, and needed to pee like 4 times. I've noticed that I'm ravenously hungry to the point of feeling ill from the moment I wake up until about 2pm, and then have no appetite for the rest of the day. Otherwise I feel decent.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Last week I had blood work: passed my diabetes screen, blood counts are normal, and (wait for this great news) I don't have syphilis! Next appointment is 4/13.
Rants/Raves/Questions: My mother is visiting this weekend and I have to figure out what to do with her. It will be nice to see her, but she's one of those people who is more stressful than fun to have visiting. I need to clean my house this evening. It's supposed to rain and snow all weekend too, which isn't helping me come up with plans.
GTKY: I kept running until about 20 weeks, but stopped when the pelvic pressure was making me uncomfortable. We did a week-long hiking "babymoon" when I was ~23 weeks, which was perfect. I'm still hiking whenever I can, though I've cut back on distance and elevation gain for my hikes in the past month or so. I'm also trying to walk more days than not. My husband is still running, which is good because when he goes out I follow him walking. I wish I could hike more, because it makes me feel amazing and is definitely the best workout I get these days, but I'm limited to weekend days when the weather is good and we don't have stuff going on in the city. I really want to train for a race post-partum as motivation to get back into running.

Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? 38
How are you feeling? Fine. Food aversions and hunger after two hours is the new normal.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Nothing next week! Bojangles seems to be doing well, haven't heard any complaints.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm the breadwinner and seriously stressing over bills and such today. I know I need to breathe, but it does put a damper on being excited about a baby. Tonight I'm going to spend time working on finances and trying to come up with some kind of plan while he's at work. My husband has an addiction to Amazon (I might, too).
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies? I've been more aware of the fruit/veggies and food in general that I've been eating. I also try to make sure that I'm not a couch potato every night. I wish I was sleeping longer. I know it would make me feel better.
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)?39
How are you feeling?as you all know been dealing with the finger pricks and my self imposed zero sugar since Tuesday. So I'm starving all the time and all of my blood sugar numbers are waaaay below what they could be. So I have a feeling I would've passed the 3 hr test if I'd taken it, but alas, 11 more days. Plus my dad is down to visit and I want to eat allll the bad food, made him cookies, I feel superhuman having not had any...yet:)
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Nope, other then above
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY
Im a full blown workout at home girl!! It's the only way I can stay healthy with a child and soon with 2. Though I started before children, I did 'insanity' to get in shape for my wedding and then I was hooked with the at home thing. After Wyatt I did T25, along with an extra 10-15 weight workout. I figured everyone has 25 minutes somewhere in there day plus I'm obsessed with all Shaun T workouts. I actually have been pretty good about modifying and doing the same workouts, at least 4-5 days a week. After 1.5 years tho I'm pretty burnt out. I'm going to order the workout by trainer Kayla itsines after this baby, very excited about that. Hubs also bought me a Fitbit at Xmas so it's kept me moving a lot more then I think I would. Not tracking calories at the moment but will likely once I get the go ahead to workout postpartum.
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? 41!
How are you feeling? Really good! I feel mostly normal and have energy, which is nice. I find I am starving at night though! I wish it was the other way around, like what you are dealing with @redheadbride15 I can't help but think that doing most of my eating at night won't bode well for weight gain...
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I had a great appointment on Monday. My BP was nearly normal (so awesome for in the office) and we heard baby's heart beat right away (145 BPM). Anatomy scan is scheduled for first thing in the morning on 4/25. Excited! And nervous. But mostly excited.
Rants/Raves/Questions: tomorrow is my kiddo's 2nd birthday! So excited to celebrate. Today I've been mentally reliving the day of labor. I feel like moms should get a cake on their kids' birthdays too. We work hard to get them here!
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies?
I've been walking as much as possible and trying to resist at least some of my unhealthy cravings. Getting back in shape after having LO was a slow process, but happened pretty much organically as I got more and more active and my appetite regulated. I took 3 mile walks with my kiddo on my back most days last summer and that helped a ton.
How are you feeling? Insomnia, back/hip/leg pain, heartburn, but overall not bad
Any baby news? Nope
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm considering using cloth diapers to save money but my husband and a friend think that doing laundry every other day would cancel out the savings. I will look into it, but any thoughts?
GTKY:
What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active
throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing
right now to be more healthy? I do high-intensity interval training at Orange Theory. I used to do it 6 days a week, but lately it's about 4 days a week. I'm still able to run, which I'm happy about. When it starts getting tough, I'm going to try a belly support band.
@piperella I was majorly stressing during the night about finances and today I crunched some numbers. I'm in worse shape than I thought. I've gone from stressing to freaking. I'm self-employed and work has been slow for 6 months. Add in a bathroom remodel (the baby's...it can't wait) and all the baby costs and I'm feeling rather doomed. I'm afraid to call and find out what it will cost to add a baby to my health insurance.

Love this "How are you feeling? Insomnia, back/hip/leg pain, heartburn, but overall not bad" @CarrieandRoy ! It's amazing how our standards for "not bad" change during pregnancy. Pre-pregnancy, if I rattled off this list, it would end with something other than "overall not bad." Now, we all read it or write it and are like, "rock on!" Mamas are tough.
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? Just turned 36 this month!
How are you feeling? Such bad insomnia this week! I have been up most nights from 3am-5am and I get so hungry I have to eat something at 4am. My kitten companion has not been helping the situation either, she loves to wake me up at 5-6am right after I have fallen back asleep. I suppose this is just training for when baby comes!
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I was waiting to update because I am waiting on another call from my doctor..the doctor called yesterday and said my 2nd tri screening results all came back "normal" yipee! I will definitely be getting the report for myself to check it out and talk about it with my midwife. But he still didn't have the 1st tri screening results I have been waiting for alllllllllll this time, so he is trying to call them and see what is up. I feel in my heart that everything is fine but I'd like all the information. At this point with our anatomy scan on 4/19 I don't feel the need to do NIPT.
Rants/Raves/Questions: @CarrieandRoy I wonder the same thing about cloth. My initial gut reaction is I don't want to do, but I think you can save money with it. Where you really start to save money I think is if you use them for #2 or beyond. Also I have seen CDs on craigslist in my area for a significant discount. Disposables can be quite spendy, especially if you want to go the "organic" route, which I would like to be chlorine and fragrance free at least. I've read a lot of CD threads on the BMB's and on the cloth diaper board and people say it really is easy, but all that laundry.....I don't know if I am up for it.
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies?
I try to eat a really varied diet with all of the colors of the rainbow in my veggies and fruits. My midwife seemed impressed with my style of diet, but then somedays I get really lazy and just make a frozen pizza or something. I need to get back into cooking lots of meals on one day to last us for a little while, that's how I do best with staying on track with healthy eating. I've been getting more exercise in, but if I don't sleep well I have a hard time getting to the gym or a yoga class or moving at all. I love high intensity cardio classes and I have even done some Kettlebell DVD's this pregnancy. I go to a insanity class 1x a week at the gym but wish I would make it there more. I teach a yoga sculpt class 2 days a week and I workout with them a little as I teach but not really. I hope I can keep getting better about working out more!
@CarrieandRoy I did cloth diapers with our daughter for the first year before transitioning to disposables. We used a diaper service (Tiny Tots) which negated the cost effectiveness but made it super easy since they did all the washing. Overall I loved using cloth and thought our daughter responded well to them, not much diaper rash, I could tell easily when she needed a change (with disposables its hard to know sometimes because they absorb so well, but that can mean the baby is sitting in pee for longer than you like). Plus you get the cute diaper covers with cloth which is fun. We ultimately switched to disposable because I signed up for Amazon Prime and was able to get them super cheap in bulk. I was sad when I switched. Now that we are potty training we have her back in cloth trainers at home, but day care prefers pull ups for the easy disposal. I personally think she has more success training in cloth because she can tell when she has an accident. If you are going to use cloth keep in mind that a newborn might need as many as ten changes a day for a while. Id use that number as a base to decide how many diapers you needed on hand before a wash day.
How are you feeling? Terrible! I've been really sick all week. Sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, body chills/aches, lower back pain, nausea, lost of appetite and fever on and off. I went to Urgent Care on Tuesday and had a flu test done - it came back negative so it looks like it's just a really bad virus/cold. I'm taking Tylenol to bring my temp down. I was also up most of last night, coughing up a storm.
Any baby news? Just had regular check-up this morning. Baby's heartbeat was nice and strong. I'm definitely feeling some actual kicks now!!! DH held my belly for awhile last night and felt the little pops from the outside - it was so exciting. And then baby kicked me in the ribs after an intense 3m coughing fit (I guess he was getting fed up by all the commotion!).
Rants/Raves/Questions: Still feeling so incredibly blessed that I scored all that free stuff from my friend. Not only does it save us a ton of money and allows me to put other things on the registry, but it also saves me all the brain energy of trying to figure out which brand or product to buy/register.
GTKY:
What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active
throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing
right now to be more healthy? Well, all I've managed to do this week is go for a short walk since I've been so sick but I normally teach a few hours every day, which means I get a bit of exercise doing warm-ups and demonstrating moves (plus I join in on the conditioning exercises for my adv. class - chin-ups, climbing the fabrics, etc.). I'm trying to get out and hike more (did a 2-hour hike on Easter) and go to the gym (averaging only about once a week). Can't wait until I can start using my friend's pool!!
@CarrieandRoy - I'm planning on doing cloth diapers all the way. I nannied for a family who used BumGenius diapers and they were super easy and effective. They had like 24 diapers and if I remember right, they weren't washing them super frequently. I really like the style of that diaper but they are SUPER pricey (although you can find some great deals on Craigslist). There are plenty of other brands out there, I just need to do more research. I've also seen some where you just change the liner and can use the cover for a few times, which saves on laundry (since you can buy a ton of liners at a cheaper price). I'll let you know what I find after doing more research.

How are you feeling? Sick All The Time :-( started about a week ago, worse in the afternoon and evening but present all day long.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Some brown spotting 2 days ago, nothing since. I have my first ultrasound next Thursday on 4/7
Rants/Raves/Questions: I remember now why I get so fat in the first tri. I feel like crap and cant workout and I eat like crap because it helps settle my stomach. I remember thinking I wasn't going to eat bad this time around. All bets are off when you feel like puking and the only thing that makes you feel better is a cheese quesadilla.
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies? Well as mentioned above my health and fitness has been dramatically thrown off. I even bailed on a 10K I was supposed to run last Saturday. I guess I wish I had the energy to workout at all like I used to and didnt feel so sick all the time. Hopefully it mellows out and I can get back to my old routine soon. As a STM I can say that the first 30 lbs come off real easy especially if you are breastfeeding. You dont even have to exercise. for me though I gained 45 with my first pregnancy and the last 15 were the hardest to loose, and I actually never lost the last 10. But I do think I went into my first pregnancy in my absolute best shape ever, so maybe it was an unrealistic goal to begin with. My advice is to get a good stroller and go on walks with your baby as much as you can, also like @Wyattnash00 said, those home workout videos are great and make it easier to squeeze in a quick workout while the baby naps (because you know, who ever really naps when baby naps anyway)
@Sporty1216 ha -- I forgot that I used to feel good all the time! These days I consider any symptoms list that doesn't include unbearable nausea pretty good. Definitely a new set of standards.
@jilligan14 I've been doing a ton of diaper research. GroVIA looks the most promising (wash the pads and reuse the diapers if clean). I might get a GroVIA, a BumGenius Freetime and an Alva Baby AI2 color snap. Maybe one or two others? Then I can try them and see what works best for me and the baby. If it works out, I'd get a diaper sprayer as well. I just did a brief search on whether you really save money. Answers vary, but on average it sounds like the savings kick in after the first year. I wish it was sooner, but it does seem worth it in the long run. Plus, a lot of people said their babies didn't get diaper rash with cloth.

@carrieandroy -I have a similar cloth diaper plan in mind. GroVia is also looking the best to me, but I wonder if it's just because they have one the nicest websites and the helpful videos. I have a friend using g-diapers and while I'm not too interested in those I may borrow one from her to try. I also want to experiment with prefolds under the covers instead of the pads (mostly for cost savings). I like GroVia because they're one size and have a ton of options including disposable liners for on the go. I imagine if i go with cloth it will not be an all or nothing deal and I'd definitely use disposables in the early weeks.
One drawback with the GroVia hybrids is that the shells need to be line dried. It's pretty humid inside in the winter here and I wonder how long it would take them dry...
@jilligan14 - thanks for the bumgenius recommendation. I remember seeing good reviews for those.
Sorry if I missed this in the above comments, but do you guys plan to use cloth wipes as well? Similar to with the diapers I think I might try it out and see...
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? 37, but 38 before baby comes
How are you feeling? great other than allergies or start of a cold messing with my sinuses, etc.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Anatomy scan on Monday! Schockingly, I'm not even nervous, just super excited (although talk to me on Monday morning when I'm in the waiting room freaking out)! I'm also feeling consistent movement daily now which is so good for the PGAL!
Rants/Raves/Questions: My rave is that while DP took DH to swim lessons this morning, I went on a reconnaissance mission in the basement and found the mother load of maternity clothes tucked away in a bin. I went through all of it, sorted it and put away the stuff that I'm likely to need. My rant is that I feel like our weekends are booked with travel/visitors through the end of May and it's exhausting just to think about. Also, DP has been in a pretty dark place recently due to his stepdad being very ill and some issues he's dealing with at work. He's usually a very positive, easy going person, so I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to be most supportive during this time.
GTKY:
What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active
throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing

We have a couple miles of trail behind our house that we hike pretty frequently. DS is totally into hiking now and usually does about 1/2 the hike on his own and half in a kelty backpack carrier. I'm excited to keep up this tradition of regular hikes with the whole family once #2 arrives. I also have a posse at work that I try to walk with in the park during lunch break at least 3 or 4 times a week. I've also been doing yoga once a week and generally stay active chasing after my toddler!
I'm not sweating weight gain or losing it after the baby this time. The first time around it came off without effort with the breastfeeding, and the 30lbs I gained was pretty much all baby related. I did go back to doing zumba and yoga pretty regularly a few months after DS was born, so that helped me maintain a healthy weight as well.
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? 37
How are you feeling? Mostly good. My thighs had been sore all week. The type of soreness that happens after a lot of walking which I hadn't been doing. 2 nights ago it was especially bad while I was trying to sleep. Yesterday I actually did a bit of hiking/walking and my legs are feeling a lot better. I think the aches and pains are due to my lack of exercise and the fear of it only getting worse in the coming months is motivating me to get moving!
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) next check up 4/11
Rants/Raves/Questions: I decided to start telling people at work that I'm pregnant mostly because I'm starting to wear maternity clothes which makes it harder to hide. After telling the people I chat with the most I just asked some to please feel free to share the news. I just didn't feel like doing a general announcement. Well, now I'm afraid this method seems a little gossipy and strange. I guess I'm just the type to feel awkward about it no matter how the news is announced!
GTKY - I signed up for a 4 week prenatal yoga class. As I mentioned, I'm already feeling some aches and pains so I wish I was already doing something to work on strength and flexibility. The class is a start. The short hike felt great yesterday so I'll try to do more of that.
For those considering cloth diapering, I just remembered that a local baby stuff store here in town (like a mom n pop boutique, not a big box store) offers a newborn cloth diaper rental program. They set you up with everything you need and you get to try cloth diapering without making the full investment. I think if you decide to purchase, most of the rental fee goes toward your purchase too, but I can't quite remember all of the details.
Anyway. I thought that was kind of a neat way to try it out without having to totally commit before you know if it will work for you. Maybe local boutiques near you offer a similar program....
as for me, I couldn't commit to the laundry. But I know lots of folks who do cloth diaper and they love it! And, there's nothing cuter than a cloth diapered baby bum.
@Sporty1216, you reminded me to comment on cloth diapering! We got a very generous gift of 12 bumgenius all-in-one's from DP's sister before DS was born (although he was so tiny that we couldn't use them right away). We used them in the early months while DS was home with us and I found them to be great and very easy to clean. At 6 months, DS went into daycare and our provider would not do cloth diapers, so that's definitely a consideration and something you should look into before considering cloth diapering. Since we didn't put in the initial investment it wasn't a big deal and we'll get at least 5 or 6 months use out of them this time as well. When we went to disposables, we used 7th generation and ordered them in bulk through amazon which as pp have said, is a good deal. You might consider putting cloth diapers on your registry if you're interested in trying them out!
Okay, so I don't mean to sound clueless here but how do cloth wipes actually work? I've never used them before, even though I've babysat many families who have used cloth diapers. Do you just keep a bowl of water by the changing table? Or a spray bottle??? Basically, how do you make them moist? And then if you have a really messy diaper, what do you with them as they pile up, all caked with poo? Dump them into a bucket? Do you rinse them in the toilet (with one of those toilet hoses)? Or rinse them in a bucket? I'm just trying to imagine myself carrying naked baby from bedroom to bathroom while holding the poo-filled diaper and a ton of poo-soaked cloth wipes and it doesn't seem like a pretty scene. I definitely want to do cloth diapering all the way but am scared of adding cloth wipes to the mix. Does anyone have experience with cloth wipes and can you explain in more detail the exact logistics in using them?

I've been looking into the GroVia Hybrid cloth diapers and I like that they are made from more natural materials than the BumGenius brand (which is all synthetic). Do you guys know if the "hook & loop" shell is bettter than the "snap closure" shell? I'm trying to understand the difference.
@jilligan14 I think hook and loop is another way of saying Velcro. Snaps are better than Velcro. Velcro wears out over time and more importantly, as your baby ages, they will be able to pull open the Velcro.
@bernierae I haven't been to the GroVIA site yet, but I'll check it out. I looked at a bunch of YouTube videos to get a good look at the various diapers and hear reviews. I'd prefer a shell with a snap in pad, like GroVIA. You don't have to wash the shell as often, and the snap in pad doesn't move around. The video of the Flip Hybrid diaper didn't look as good. The pad isn't as wide and doesn't snap in. The reviewer said it would get bunched up in the middle.
And I'm just going to use disposable wipes. And probably keep disposable diapers around as back-ups and maybe in the diaper bag. We'll see how it goes.

After further review, it looks like the GroVia diapers aren't as natural as I would've hoped. They have cotton and organic cotton snap-on pads, but only the filling is organic whereas the outer cover (the part that touches the baby's skin) is still polyester. What's the point of advertising it's organic if it's just the filling? I have no idea if my baby will have sensitive skin or not but I would much prefer to diaper him in something all natural. Hmmm, the search continues....Maybe we should start a separate cloth diapering thread??

How are you feeling? I'm doing okay. I started taking Pepcid for my heartburn and feel TONS better, I'm still having hip pain and the pain in my pelvic area (symphysis pubis dysfunction), but I made an appointment with a chiropractor my acupuncturist recommended, so I'm hoping she can help me. And, still sleeping horribly. All in all, I'm still feeling blessed that I had no morning sickness, so I don't feel like I can complain -- even as I waddle around wanting to hold up my pelvis.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) So excited for our Level II / Anatomy scan on Wednesday morning. I had an ultrasound last week but I asked the not to tell me the sexes so I could find out with my hubby. He was mad at me and wanted to know. You just can't please him. HAHA!
Rave: I got a support belt from my OB last week. It is AMAZING! I was using a different one from my first pregnancy - not sure where I got it - but it wasn't nearly as supportive!!
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies? Nothing - I can barely walk. Seriously though, my diet has taken a major upswing since being diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I'm eating less carbs and junk - though my endocrinologist is now telling me I need to eat a little more carb with twins (good lord, make up your mind!). I work full time as a nurse practitioner so I do a ton of walking at work. I can easily get 10-15K steps in per day when I work. With my previous pregnancy, I gained about 20 pounds (8 of them in the last week), so with breastfeeding, that came off pretty fast. I'm assuming my toddler is going to keep me pretty busy after the babies, so I'm hoping I can lose the weight pretty easily. As soon as I'm up for it after my c-section, I want to start walking with all the kids.

@jilligan14 a cloth diaper thread would be great. Whoever has info to share next can start it. I'm going to see my mom today to talk about my registry and cloth diapering. I'm curious what her input will be. (She's thrilled that I'm looking into it.)
@emsmama15 what support belt is it? I was thinking of getting one when running starts getting uncomfortable.

@CarrieandRoy - It's a three piece one made by Bird & Cronin - which is a Mpls based company. I got it through my OB, so it's probably a medical supply one. I have another that I'm guessing I got at Motherhood Maternity, which worked - my OB just didn't think it would work well enough with two and my pelvic issues so early on. You may want to look there. They ARE about $50, but worth it I think. Since I'm on my feet at work for up to 10 hours per day, I wore mine last pregnancy every day I worked. I'm guessing it would help with running because it just kind of lifts everything up.

Very late again, with DH's work schedule changes we are in survival mode right know to we establish a new routine that works for all of us...
How far along are you? 24 weeks 3 days. Age? 37 How are you feeling? Status quo physically which is not too bad. Mentally serious baby brain. I keep it together at work, but I take an adult jazz/tap dance class once a week. The last two weeks we learn a count of eight and move on and five minutes later I am drawing a complete blank on what we just learned I feel like I spend 1/2 the classes standing there trying to remember what is next. Baby news? Next appointment is in 2 weeks will have the one hour glucose test requisition then too.
Rant/Rave..Had my first deal must have this now craving and dh without a moments hesitation went out at 11 a clock at night in a snowstorm to get me potato skins.... What a great guy: (
GTKY? Still at the gym 3 days a week, I get more winded in cardio and have had to incorporate a longer warm up and cool down, but have been able to keep weights up at pre pregnancy level. Dance class once a week. Also eating more protein and have significantly city back the carbs over my first trimester levels. With my first it came off easily within 4 months of resuming my normal diet and exercise... Then I actually kept losing because at a certain point I had trouble keeping weight on with nursing, but got right back to my pre pregnancy weight when lo fully weaned. It took a bit longer with #2, but I was back to my previous weight within 8-9 months, I actually gained a bit of weight back when dd fully weaned and ended up about 5 lbs. Heavier
@bgf1 I craved potato skins once during the first trimester and my Irish husband didn't know what they were. He was headed to the grocery store, so I asked him to get some and he came home empty-handed. He said he couldn't find them. I needed them so bad, I went and bought some myself.

I sent mine to a pub for them the craving was powerful, but I was firmly snuggled up in my PJs and he is a night owl.... Wasn't sure about a grocery store having them (it is such a rarity for me to eat I've never looked for them). If he'd come come empty handed I probably would have cried
@bgf1 the grocery store had them. He just didn't look hard enough. (Or ask anyone.)

HI everyone New to this board. I just happen to find it! I've been on October 2016 board.
How far along are you? 11w3d
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? Just turned 36 in March
How are you feeling? I seem to be on the mend from the ruthless nausea I had for weeks! And last week I got nailed with a bad head cold and bronchitis. Happy to be feeling better.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Just saw the baby on Friday, everything looked good. We have our NT scan and Materit21 testing on Monday, April 11. Nervous for that. If the scan goes well we will be making our official baby announcement!
Rants/Raves/Questions: Tried out my belly band today and I'm in love. I'm not really showing yet but the bloat/blimp is starting to make my jeans a little tight. It's very comfy and doesn't slid and keeps my jeans in place.
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies? Since I have been nauseous ALL DAY EVERY DAY and have been extremely tired, the gym has been nonexistent for me for almost 2 months. I miss it so much. Now that I'm starting to feel like myself again, I hope to get back into my routine very soon. Also with feeling better, I'm able to start eating more than just carbs. I have a desire to eat salads again and drink water. Both were huge turn offs. Chicken is still aversion for me.
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
Sorry I have been MIA for the past week. I went in last week for my first appt at 6w 2d. She did an ultrasound, and found an empty sac. I have had one miscarriage before, and it was a blighted ovum, so this felt like the exact same thing. I spent the week trying to convince myself there was hope (I have a tilted uterus, and the internet claims that can make things hard to see). This morning I went back in and there was a perfect little baby in there, measuring one day ahead, with a heartbeat of 140. I am so relieved! I know it's still early, but I am definitely on a high.
How far along are you? 7w 3d
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? 37. I'll be 38 when baby is due.
How are you feeling? I am just so happy and relieved and incredulous. I can't even believe it. I know there will be more hard moments, but for right now there is a baby in there!
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Now I wait 3 weeks for my next appointment.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Nothing I haven't already said.
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies?
I was doing a decent job running this fall, and finally felt like I was getting somewhere. I haven't been able to lose my baby weight from my first two, and I loved being committed to getting in shape. But then my H got a promotion which meant longer hours at work, and my set running times disappeared. My plan right now is to find an inexpensive treadmill on Craigslist, so I can start at least walking, if not running, on a more regular schedule again I miss it .
Oh my gosh @MollySm I'm so sorry you had such a scare, but that is wonderful you had a good follow up scan. I would have been freaking out with a previous BO. Welcome back to the game and enjoy that LO!
@MollySm --I'm so glad for your great news! I can only imagine how difficult the wait between ultrasounds must have been. Hooray for a perfect little baby and a wonderful heartbeat. Here's to continued great checkups from here on out!
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)? 36 but will turn 37 mid-June
How are you feeling? Energetic followed by complete exhaustion
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) My 34 week check-up is on Friday and then I will start weekly appointments and NST's at 36 weeks. Time is flying!
Rants/Raves/Questions: Not really a rant or rave but I'm nesting like crazy and feel like I need to rent a dumpster. I have been sorting and organizing for months but I feel like I'm not getting anywhere. Oh well, maybe we just need a bigger house?!?!?
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies? I'm really not into exercising but I normally take the kids walking when the weather is decent. We've been taking the kids to swim lessons so I've been in the pool weekly. I've never had a problem getting back into shape after my pregnancies. I firmly believe that I need to gain a lot of weight to sustain myself during a year of breastfeeding. I find it hard to take care of myself when I have a new baby so all of that stored fat comes in handy! I think I was back to prepregnancy size (or under) by 6 months postpartum with both kids.
@gemini2005 I was getting rid of stuff like crazy, too. My focus has shifted to working on my registry, but I'd love to get back to purging/organizing. It feels so good!

Re: Weekly Check in 4/1
Age (only if you want to share, totally optional)?
Age? 38
Married 5/30/15

How far along are you? 29+4
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
Nope, other then above
Age? 37, will be 38 before baby is born
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? I do high-intensity interval training at Orange Theory. I used to do it 6 days a week, but lately it's about 4 days a week. I'm still able to run, which I'm happy about. When it starts getting tough, I'm going to try a belly support band.
@redheadbride15 congrats on not having syphilis!

Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
I was waiting to update because I am waiting on another call from my doctor..the doctor called yesterday and said my 2nd tri screening results all came back "normal" yipee!
If you are going to use cloth keep in mind that a newborn might need as many as ten changes a day for a while. Id use that number as a base to decide how many diapers you needed on hand before a wash day.
Age? 36
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy?

@rspalding001, sorry you feel so terrible, those first weeks are just the worst, I hope you feel better soon.
yay @createillumination for awesome test results!
GTKY: What have you been doing (or trying to do) to stay healthy/fit/ active throughout your pregnancy? Is there anything you wish you were doing right now to be more healthy? For the STM's how was it to "get back in shape" after previous pregnancies?

@emsmama15 what support belt is it? I was thinking of getting one when running starts getting uncomfortable.

How far along are you? 24 weeks 3 days.
Age? 37
How are you feeling?
Heavier

TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year.

RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.
