I'm 36 weeks and three days and two cm dilated, with cramping, pelvic pain, back ache, hip pain, legs swelling with upper leg numbing.....I'm just miserable
I would really hope not. You aren't even considered early term yet. That being said you could walk around at 3cm for weeks or you could go into labor tomorrow. How far dilated you are doesn't mean much except for a bishop's score. If you are able to time contractions and are having them regularly for the amount of time your OB told you then you can go in and get checked. Good luck and I hope your lo can hang in there for a few more weeks!
I'm 31 weeks and already dilated to a 2. I've been placed on modified bed rest. Your baby could survive at this gestation age but I'd want them to cook a little longer. It could mean labor is soon but it could also mean it's not. It's really hard to say these are the signs bc with each person they are different.
You could be 3 cm dialated for weeks. It's hard to tell. Hopefully little one sits tight for a bit. I would just do some watchful waiting. If you have concerns I would call your OB/Triage or go to triage. I'll be 36 weeks next week. They haven't checked my cervix in a few weeks. it was closed when they checked at 33wks. Both of my babies have been born a touch early. DS was a week early and DD was 2 weeks early. They're anticipating I'll go close to 38 weeks but who knows.
I've been constipated and then it goes away. Nausous for probably the last month. BH contractions like crazy. Joys of the third trimester!!
