2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
31w2d today and I have my shower tomorrow! I'm excited for it - can't wait to see what everyone got! I'm really hoping that my big items have all been bought! Nothing new yet .. just got a crap ton of baby stuff to do! Mostly I really need to get my floors done .. that's going to be taken care of on Friday (hopefully!).
QOTW: would it be lame to say Harry Potter? At the time I started reading the books, I wished I'd had a different family - kind of thing .. let's just say that I wished I was in Harry's shoes!

Life is good here - some family who were planning to visit next week cancelled so it's just DH and I alone for Thanksgiving (with the 18 lb bird I bought expecting 5-6 guests). I told DH to pick up some strays around the office (people stuck in town without plans for the holiday) so we might have a few random coworkers of his, which would be just fine by me.
At 32.5 weeks, I am doing fine! Looking forward to December 4th, which is my next OB apt and we are getting a 3D ultrasound to check on our little guy!!!! After that it's an appointment every week until my due date.
QOTW: Anne of Green Gables. If we were having a girl, I would strongly consider Anne as a middle name in her honor.
Off birth control March 2012 - Actively trying Sept 2012-April 2014

@Magritli - ((hugs)) to you, too. Hope you're getting some good help and feeling better. People who are prone to depression can really struggle in this time.
@amylev80 - We lost a second sac, too. It's hard to process. ETA: ((hugs))
@Ecarabeo217 - I love the way you put that--making the registry items make sense. Ours definitely doesn't right now, as I've been using it for a place to take notes!
@hopby2015 - I adore the HP books, so there's no shame in claiming them as favorites! But did you just say you wished your whole family had been killed by a dark wizard? @-)
@MJ14323 - Go for the cake reveal! We're revealing to our parents just before Tgiving, too, although I'm going to have my mom open a box with a pink onsie.
AFM, I've posted enough AW stuff recently that I think everyone knows what's going on with me. I do have a question for those further along: back pain. I'm barely even showing and already dealing with this! Aside from CONSTANTLY monitoring my posture, is there anything else I can do? Do those pregnancy girdle things help?
QOTW: Hands down, no question, this is Miss Elizabeth Bennet. I'd give a lot for her poise, especially under pressure. In times of conflict I crumble and cry, but she just comes back with the most dignified and biting responses. (I once read that Jane Austen's characters speak as if they went home in the middle of every conversation, thought for two days about the perfect thing to say, then came back and said it. Repeat for all dialogue.) If you've seen the movies this is the Jennifer Ehle version of Eliza Bennet, not the horrifying giggly idiot Keira Knightly came up with.

Hi ladies! I’m feeling pretty good. According to my bump ticker LO has 39 more days till the due date! @-) DH and I have 2 more birthing/child care classes left. Due to the snow in western NY the class was cancelled this week. I believe the nurse who teaches the class lives outside of Buffalo and was snowed in.
DH and I are finally finishing the nursery this weekend. The pediatrician has been picked, car seats inspected by the fire department, and I’ve pre-registered at our hospital. I’ve packed up the baby’s bag and just have to pack up hospital bags for DH and I.
I’ve begun my weekly OB appointments and next appointment we start cervical checks. I’m not sure why, but I have a feeling this kid is going to stay put for as long as it possibly can.
QOTW: While my favorite literary character is definitely Harry Potter my most admired character is Hermione Granger. She’s smart, brave, loyal and beautiful so pretty much everything I strive to be
AFM: not much here. I mentioned in the 2nd tri check-in I failed the 1 hour glucose and need to find time to do the 3 hour now.
I should be done with night shift soon, and I cannot wait! My body adjusted fine pre-pregnancy, but I am really struggling these past few weeks.
QOTD: Elizabeth (pride and prejudice) she's a classy, yet strong woman.
12w2d here. I already posted a big update in 1st tri this week but our nt scan went well and we LOVED seeing the baby again all moving around. Just waiting on the bw results.
QOTW: not sure I have a favorite character. I do have a lot of favorite books. I will say I just finished reading Me Before You by JoJo Moyes and it was wonderful!! Could hardly put it down.

Nothing new here outside of my first tri news. I think I'm going to have to buy a new wardrobe. Outlets here i come!

AFM- I'm 10w4d and got to see the little ones today. They were wiggling around and moving! It was so exciting to see them wiggle their little limbs/bodies. I have my NT scan in two weeks, and we're hoping for good results.
Qotw- I also love Harry potter. The books came out when I was in 5th/6th grade so I grew up with them and loved reading them. I also really admire Atticus Finch.
