We will be having between 20-25 people at our house for the holiday. We do the turkey and stuffing and let others fill in the gaps. Really saves our sanity and has proven to work well in the past for us.
My parents are hosting. We're making the turkey and a few paleo versions of traditional sides. It's our tradition. My fam will gripe to give me a hard time and eat all of it. I'm really looking forward to it, and having wine this year (I abstained for obvious reasons last year). I've decided that the first year as a birthmom will be wonderful. I at least know it will be 100x better than last year!
Birthmom to A, 1/8- the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

We're hosting Thanksgiving, but I'm not planning on cooking anything; we're ordering Chinese takeout. Last year I cooked a feast of homemade stuff (healthy dishes for me and my parents; traditional dishes for my inlaws). We told our parents we were adopting and my FIL threw a fit (for a lack of better terms). My FIL was also sick and shared his germs with all of us. The stress of it all (cleaning, cooking, drama, and germs) made my chronic health problem flare up. This year, it's laid back. If people want to eat, they can get takeout. Our house will be open and clean.
We will be going to my MIL's. Don't have to bring a thing, though I always bring flowers or a centerpiece. This year I'm having sinus surgery one week before so I'm not sure how I'll be feeling.
we host- and we do all the cooking! DH and I LOVE to cook and decorate and entertain, so we wouldn't dream of turning it down! we will have about 15-20 people throughout the day. it's one of the days I look forward to the most!
trying for #1 since May 2012... we're adopting!bringing home baby boy in january 2015!
We also have 2 Thanksgivings. We both have big families so it's very hard to run to multiple houses each day. So on Thursday, we go to my Husbands family and on Friday, I have my family over and cook them a yummy feast.
January 2014--Picked Agency, had informational Meeting and turned in Application
June 2014--Started our Home Study (all paperwork &fingerprinting that ensued)
August 2014--Finished our Home Study and Officially Waiting
We have two thanksgivings- one the 22nd with hubby's side of the family where we bring the turkey and mashed potatoes to his parents house (17 people). Then ON Thanksgiving my sister, brother in law, and two nieces come to our house form MA (we're in NJ) and we cook everything/host for four days.
It's a TON of work- but it's also my favorite holiday!

I love hearing about everyone's traditions!
What's your favorite Thanksgiving food? I'm particularly fond of homemade cranberry sauce and of course my mom's cheesy mashed potatos!!
It's a TON of work- but it's also my favorite holiday!
