I have an interview this coming Thursday and I was wondering do you ladies think I should let them know I am pregnant... or do you think that would jeopardize me getting the job? retail job at m Macy's any help I can get please or have any of you ladies been in the same situation as I am
You're due in September right? I'm guessing they're probably going to be able to assume that you're pregnant.
Either way, I don't know about others, but I'd be upfront about it. You're going to need a lot of time off very soon, and they'll need to be aware of it and make staffing decisions appropriately.
If you are due in September not only should it be obvious that you are pregnant at this point (for most women it would be), but you will be going out on maternity leave when they've barely finished the paperwork and trained you. Maybe go in for an interview with the intention of actually starting after baby is born?
If you are not due in September learn how to navigate TB and I personally am for being open and honest with your employer/potential employer. Technically they cannot refuse to hire you because of your pregnancy, but realistically it does happen. It's also your pregnancy, your business. Many of us didn't tell our employers we were pregnant for weeks/months because they did not need to know. That decision is up to you. Good luck.
Re: Interview should I let them know
....
There is no way you're due in September.
