You know... I used to be a lot more open to porn. I didn't watch it a lot (mostly with S/Os), but now I'm not so much into it. Am I becoming prudish as I become older? Probably...
Now I feel like I don't want to be compared to other women. It needs to be all about me, lol.
Have I seen it? Yes. Do I like it? Not really, no.
I don't watch it because I have a really hard time seeing porn stars and knowing that they started out sweet innocent girls like DD who thought the ice cream I liked was called Two Balls and a screw and now they're making a movie with the same title.

Exactly this. I'm really not a fan of it at all anymore.

Way to piss on the porn party.
BTW, two balls and a screw is still one of my favorite bump stories ever.
Seriously, though, I never hung out with guys who were into watching porn (at least watching it with me!), and the political/feminist implications of it were a reason not to watch it for awhile. Anymore, meh. It probably would be different if DH wanted to watch it or something, but he's never requested it.
I don't know how to say this without sounding like a prude, but I think there is such an emphasis on being sexual placed on people nowadays. Like, everyone must be having the hottest, sexiest sex ever, all the time. Which just isn't reality for probably most of us (especially those of us with young children...). Not that I think we should go back to the days of twin beds for married couples, but I just don't need to know that everyone is getting laid all the time (or need to watch it, frankly).

Sorry, can't help it.
Story is still one of my favorite to tell.
What? What's the backstory? You can't talk about it and not share!
It doesn't do anything for me and it makes me feel icky. I don't mind others, including DH watching, but it doesn't do it for me. Give me Colin Firth diving in a lake any day.
Have I saw it, yeah but it's not something that's watched often at all. If I do watch it though it takes me about 30 seconds to "be done", haha... I think it's because it's "so naughty".
If H isn't around I would rather read erotica vs watch it. Again, not that I do that often either.
Now I'm really embarrassed.
Don't be. Reading erotica does more for me than a video. I watched some years ago, but it's hard to get into it, ya know with all the plot getting in the way. Not that I have that much time on my hands these days either.

Hav...you have really surprised me today. In a good way though.
I have. I haven't lately. I'm not opposed to watching in the future, but not sure I'd even be as interested in it anymore. The only time we've really watched is when there has been alcohol involved. I think it makes my inner wild child out

I have to agree. While I admit I watch porn once in a while and, like Hav, I like erotic literature every once in a while, I also think we live in a society where sex is thought of as the end all be all. A good, regular sex life, I believe, is part of a healthy relationship. For my husband and me that means about once a week right now. DH works A TON and I'm tired running after a 1 year old. More than that just isn't going to happen right now. It ebbs and flows - sometimes more - sometimes - like at the end of my pregnancy - there's none. As long as we can communicate about it, I feel ok.
A good friend from high school makes her living writing erotica now. I just bought the first book in her series off Amazon
Now Erotica I like. I read a couple of websites and they're the worst writing, but they do the job. PM me your friends name.
Kate, PM websites! Kimbus22 PM me info too. haha! I am all over this.
The only website I've ever went to for erotica was literotica.com but the stories on there can be kin-ky in a bad kind of way, so you have to filter the bizarre ones out. I'm always afraid of getting viruses so I never "search" for any sites of the sort.
Yes! I am afraid of viruses so I don't ever want to click. So suggestions are good.
I actually enjoy a good Skinamax movie every once a while more than hard core stuff. I remember watching Tommy Lee & Pamela Anderson's sex tape in college. That was ...um...interesting.

Nah. We're repressed and prudish!

I'm guessing I started this from the UO.
