I'm a minimalist when it comes to DD's toys. I'd rather have a few quality toys that she loves than a million trendy items that clutter the house and she tends to ignore.
Next month DD is turning one, and I'd love to get some toys that she will play with frequently, will be things she uses for more than a couple months, and can be passed down to (or shared with) DS.
Right now we are getting her a musically accurate xylophone for her birthday. We'd like to get one or two other items. What have you found to be great, quality toys for your LOs? We'd love some ideas.
Re: Toys?
my read shelf:
How about an activity cube?
We have this one: https://www.target.com/p/b-toys-zany-zoo-wooden-activity-cube/-/A-12025312#prodSlot=medium_1_1&term=zany+zoo
DD1 got it for XMas when she was 11 months and still plays with it. DD2 loves it now too.
My kids are 2.5 and 15months. Some things that they both love to play with are: water table, wagon, play kitchen with dishes and food, Melissa and Doug puzzles, Duplos, Little People toys (house, school bus), toy cars, books. For DD's first birthday we had gotten her a little ride-on car. She loved it. Now DS rides it, and she now rides her tricycle. It works out well.
