Does "pelvic rest" include no orgasms?  I know no penetration which wouldn't be good since I had my baby 6 days ago and sitll have my stitches in from tearing and everything, but my sex drive is ridiculous :( I thought it would go away for awhile after giving birth but no such luck...

Sorry if TMI and super awkward...

    I'm no expert but I would think orgasms would be fine, just don't stick anything in.

    I would say no orgasms. I would think it would have to do with the muscles tightening and your ute shrinking. But. I'm not expert. I have no clue. Personally, I would refrain.

    I posted this last week and didn't get a clear answer yet. Meant to ask the doctor to find out. Glad I'm not the only one!!!

    Thanks for the advice everyone!  I'll probably ask the doctor I suppose, just to be on the safe side of things.  I hate making phone calls but it's something I'm going to have to get over someday so I'll call the office :)

    My OB specifically told me no orgasms. If yours didn't mention it, I would clarify.

    But I can't even believe you WANT to have sex 6 days PP! LOL

    I was on pelvic rest early in my pregnancy and it included no orgasms.
    TTC since 2004, Ectopic 2005, lost right tube. Multiple miscarriages. Baby girl born June 2013.
