Question From IF Board

Hello ladies! Hope you don't mind an IF girl crossing over just to ask a quick question! What was the grades of your embies when you got your BFP? I had my transfer today and was a little bummed that I only had 1 Grade C blast transferred with none to freeze. Looking for a little light at the end if the tunnel!

Congrats to all you fine ladies and wish you a smooth 9 months!

**TTC since April 2010**
DH diagnosed with moderate MFI, low everything, me low AMH
3 IUI's and 1 IVF all BFN's, almost gave up hope
June 2013- One last IUI for the heck of it... BFP! Complete shock!
April 2014- Eliana- In Hebrew means The Lord has Answered! Welcome to the world my miracle baby!

September 2016- Surprise BFP without medical assistance! New Baby due June 2017!

I asked this question too about 6 months ago. I didn't get very many responses. I think the grading scale varies based on your center. My blast and transfer info is in my siggy. FX that your little blast is sticky and snuggles in. GL

Mine were so bad that if they were even a little worse they would not have transferred them.  I know that each place does a different grading scale but mine were not good and one of them stuck and surprised everyone.  Good luck!

I don't think the grading matters as much as people think it does. I transferred 2 of the very best (the highest they could be rated for a 5 dt). I'm having a singleton. A very good friend did IVF w/ICSI last year. She had a 3dt because she had several arrest and the quality was very poor. She has a beautiful baby boy. I know it's hard but try not to worry too much about the quality. From what I've heard others say and my own personal experience it seems things are all random and you've got as good a shot at success as anyone else. I hope that helps!

We transferred three. All three were grade C. But my RE described one as being a plain old C and the other two as C-. He said they barely made the cut. We were pretty devastated but one them is still going strong. FX that your little embie is a rockstar!

My embies were both Grade A Fair.  (3dt) but my REs office has weird standards when it comes to grading.

I had a 3dt because my embies weren't good enough to wait.  I transferred 2 embies, an 8 cell and a 10 cell, both grade 4 (out of 5, with 5 the worst).  So pretty fragmented and I literally cried on the table while they put them back in me.  Yet one of them is my beautiful, strong daughter - 33 weeks tomorrow.  Keep the faith!
