We're having a little girl this time around - yay! Our son's name is Liam Patrick and we are so torn between 2 names for our daughter. I need some honest objective opinions, please!
Wow it seems like so far it's totally split! If we went with Catherine we would call her by the whole name and not shorten or do a nn. I do like Cate though - definitely not Cathy or Katie!
As the mom of Katherine I vote for Catherine Jane.
I also love Claire Margaret. Claire was on our list had DS been a girl.
As for nicknames, our DD goes by Kate most of the time. For the PP that mentioned Cathy, wha

I love Catherine.
Claire is just meh for me.

Tough choice. I like both names a lot!
Claire has a slightly more feminine feel to it. Catherine is a little stronger.

Team Green x2 - Can't wait for our twosome to arrive
I really like Claire Margaret .... that would be my vote. It's a name that's cute on a little girl and classic on an adult.
Catherine Jane flows well, but I'm not a huge fan of the name Catherine. I don't like the nn Cathy.&nbs
Emma Kate - born 10.16.03 @ 29 weeks, weighed 1lb 13oz and 13.5" long.

SAHM to 4 kiddos... K (5/05), N (4/09), C (11/10) and Baby A 1/13/14
I would have used it if she hadn't gotten to it first...
So that gets my vote!
catherine jane flows better, but i like claire more than catherine.
my vote is for claire since she probably won't use her middle name that often anyway.
As the mom of Katherine I vote for Catherine Jane.
I also love Claire Margaret. Claire was on our list had DS been a girl.

I think they are both very pretty names.
I really like Claire.
