I posting on here because I'm at my wits end and I figure this board might provide the most options for a solution. I've asked this question before but all the solutions didn't work...so I'm asking again.
How do you toddler proof your bi-fold doors? Ours are hollow core and are slightly larger than all the regular child locks can accomodate...which is mega frusterating! After an episode tonight that nearly needed stitches I have to find something that works. Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Bi-fold doors - help me toddler proof!
Maybe you could find a carpenter willing to come up with something. Or how about one of those door chains that's usually meant for doors that lead outside?
Can you custom make some kind of tie or strap or even just wind some rope between/around the handles until you find a better solution?

We have bi-fold doors in the kitchen and went through a few things before we found something that works and isn't a hassle for us to get in and out of. We used sash locks. They are used for windows but we put one on each door where they open and they work great.
I tried to post a picture but I guess I am not as computer savvy as I think I am!
We use these plastic things on most of ours.

The doors that don't fit those,we connect two or more cabinet locks together and put them round the closet knobs to lock them closed.
