So I always thought that Maddox, being Welsh, was pronounced "Math-oc" because the DD= TH sound. As in the Welsh form of Gwyneth is Gwynedd.
But DH says it is pronounced "Mad-ox"
It is a name that pronounced either way I don't really care for but it is a debate that I need settled

I think OP intended Gwyneth as an example saying that the Welsh spelling is Gwynedd but they pronounce it Gwyneth as Americans say it. But like PP I also say Mad-ux
