I'm not there yet with this pregnancy, but with my son I lost a ton of weight until I was about 17 weeks. I'd probably only regained 2 lbs by 20 weeks, so I was still below my starting weight.
Have you talked with your doctor or midwife about the weight gain?

10lbs so far, which is right where I was @ this point in my last pregnancy. I'm excited cause gaining just shy of 30lbs by the end along w/ breastfeeding & walking, I dropped the weight easily. So my goal is to do the same this time around.
Gained 7 lbs so far which I'm very happy about and I'm 19 weeks 5 days. By this time with my daughter I gained about 20 lbs, and a total of 65 for the whole pregnancy! I'm still up 30 lbs from my daughter so I did not want to have another baby before I lost all the weight, but it happened unexpectedly so I new this time I definitely had to change the way I ate. Now when I'm hungry I snack on fruit, salad, yogurt, fiber 1 bars, etc. I'm 175 now, was 168 before getting pregnant (138 before my daughter) and I hope to not get past 190, 185 would be nice. Then after this baby, AS SOON AS I RECOVER, it's of to the gym and eating healthy. I refuse to continue living unhappily with myself and go through another summer without being able to where my summer dresses, tanks, shorts, etc. I have bags of clothes size small shirts, and size 5-7 jeans I dearly miss! I have faith because right before this baby I made it down to a size 11! End of pregnancy with her I was in a 20! (I wasn't that huge I just carry a lot of my weight in my butt, hips and thighs) Sorry so long, just can't wait to get back to my beautiful figure.
I've always heard that if you do a max of 5lbs in the first trimester and 1 lbs each week after, you should be fine and take it off easily. Based on that rule, you are doing great!
With my first I ended up following that pretty closely and lost it all in 4 months without much effort. I'm 19 weeks now with my second and have gained 8 lbs.

i'm at 19 weeks as of today and i've gained 17 lbs thus far! i know, i know...it sounds like alot but my BMI was very low when i got pregnant and i was very fit and active before my pregnancy as well as into my pregnancy. that's just how my cookie is crumbling i guess! my OB said there was not a problem at all and that he would let me know if there was one so that's all i can hope for. the first trimester was hard with nausea and zero energy so it's the first time in my life where i wasn't on the "go, go, go!"..so i gained 8 lbs in the first 13 weeks. i feel GREAT now though! full of energy, no body aches and pains, working out 5-6 times a week, etc....so i'm not going to beat myself up about it. i'm doing all i can right now physically and that's the best i can do! so i'm going to enjoy it.. good luck, ladies!
At my 20w appt I had gained a total of 5 lbs, but when I went in a 24w I had gained another 8 lbs for a total of 13. My Dr. was not very happy with the jump in weight, but I admit I was not being as good as I should've been that month.
I'm back on track now and in the last 2 weeks I think I've lost a lb or two. (I'm overweight to begin with so they are monitoring my weight a little closer than someone of normal weight).
Everyone is different and our bodies react differently. At 20w was when I really started to look pregnant instead of just chunky. It is an adjustment when your body starts to change. I'm almost 26w now and I've gotten over the feeling huge and think my bump is cute again. :-)

I am 22 weeks 0 days today. I started out at 185. at my second visit I had lost down to 182. Today I weighed in at 194. I'm afraid the weight game is gonna come on in full force after this week since he is supposed to start putting on fat and hitting his own growth spurt.
I don't know Yeah, that's right.... don't know. I will find out at my Dr apt on the 20th. I don't look too big and I was overweight to begin with (169 at 5' 4") so I'm not too worried.... Of course I shouldn't have just said that. Now they're going to tell me I've gained 20lbs and start yelling at me

I don't know how but at my 18 week appt. I hadn't gained anything. WTH fix your scales because I'm obviously pregnant, my bump is huge and people think I'm 8 months pg - not 4 mos., my love handles are huge, my boobs are huge. I double checked at home and nothing. I must have lost my brains and the baby weight is evening that out.
Re: Almost 20 weeks, at this point how much weight did you gain?

I went to the doctor last Tuesday and I had only gained 7 pounds. My doctor said that was excellent!

FWIW, most of the people who answer these threads are on the lower end of the spectrum.

I'm still down 13lbs as of yesterday. I was only suppose to gain 10lbs this pregnancy anyways.
At 20 weeks exactly today, I am minus2.5 lbs.
I was about the same at this point in my pg w/ DD, and ended up gaining 45 at 40 weeks w/ her!

Im not as far along as most of the ladies posting on this thread.
at 16 weeks I've gained 3 lbs.... from what I have read this is about when I should start gaining a little more.
So far 3lbs but I started overweight and they don't want me to gain more the 20.
