I would really like something that is unusual or not common. Since my husband hates my uncommon first name choices, I think a middle name is a good place to use them becuase a middle name is rarely used in everyday conversation. I like unisex names and I also like one syllable names.
I am leaning towards Layla Grey.
I also like Layla Blake, but think that may be too much of the Lay la lay sound.

Re: Middle name for Layla
Me too. I like the sound of Grace, but wanted to use something a little less common and it had a similar sound.
Plus I kind of realized it made an anagram of my deceased parents and grandparents, except my grandpa. G for Gayle, my mom's MN, R for Robert, my dad, E for Estelle, my grandmas MN. Just wish my grandpa fit in there too! His initials were LL so I guess he fits in the first name. While I am at it, Layla works to honor my mom too. It takes the first and last letter of LindA, and adds the middle of her MN gAYLe...Layla!
Yes, I am aware I have overthought this and I sound like a crazy person
