21st birthday... advice!
Hey ladies. I'm turning 21 tomorrow. I'm younger, I know, but I'm nervous about what to do tomorrow. I know that you can have fun without alcohol, but I'm just sort of bummed that I can't celebrate it the "normal" way. I'm so happy/blessed to be pregnant, but I just don't know what to do tomorrow! Any ideas???

A nice dinner with friends? Maybe get yourself a virgin drink while you're there. Basically do something to treat yourself. You could also do a spa day (just stay away from the no-no's during pregnancy) or something too.

I'm not a drinker, so I don't really identify with this issue a whole lot. However, I do have great ideas... at least for boring ol' me... I don't like parties or crowds either. haha I would suggest going out with your DH or your best friends... go somewhere like the Melting Pot (expensive but fun and yummy) or to another restaurant you've always wanted to go to... go to a concert or a movie or a theater performance in your area. Go dancing with your DH/BF/SO... salsa is fun! Bring lots of water! If money is restrictive, go for a hike with your SO or best friends and enjoy the sunshine and blooming plant life!

Happy Birthday. I was in the same boat as you with my first baby. I was due in January and I turned 21 in October. Since I was in my third trimester I did have 1 small glass of wine. But being so early this time, I don't know if I would do the same thing. The other thing that I did, since I was/am a drinker was that I planned a night to go out with a bunch of my friends to celebrate my 21st after I had my baby. My mom watched her and I pumped and threw away the milk.
But have fun with your 21st, get a nice virgin drink and plan a night out with your friends for after the baby.
Eat your favorite meal and dessert! Alcoholic beer does exist just in case you have a desire to drink a beer!!!

Thanks!!! I got my mani today, my mom treated me! haha! I'm going out dancing with my best friend and BF tonight... and then going to our casino to play slots. Thanks for the advice. I'll probably enjoy a virgin pina colada tomorrow at my birthday dinner! haha!
The night out after baby sounds good! I'll do that!
IMO, you might have more fun without the possible hangover... you might end up vomiting, though hahaha... but that's not due to drinking.

I was very very pg (37 wks) on my 21st as well and fortunatly I lived in Nevada so DH took me to Reno and we went to a nice lunch and I drank a root beer from the bottle... lol then we went to the casino and gambled. but i suggest buying a bottle of whatever you like tomorrow and saving it for post pregnancy. that way you will still feel 21. hope i helped.
Happy 21st birthday and just think next year could be just as fun as turning 21....
