Is it silly

Is it silly no be a afriad to open gifts for baby? I ready got gifts and things for her. I want to open them, but than I start thinking what happens if I do.

    I don't think it's silly.  Many people don't believe in having any baby related items in the house prior to bringing home baby.  My mother and MIL won't have a shower for me/baby until after arrival either, for "superstitious" reasons.

    At the same time, I think it's important to remember that you can't 'jinx' anything and not to worry if you do decide to open presents. :-)

    I'n some cultures nothing is bought for the baby until after it is born.  I don't think it is silly at all to want to wait.

    It's not silly, but just remember you can't jinx anything.

    I don't think it is silly at all. With my 1st I wouldn't do it either and I wouldn't talk about the baby to anyone unless it was my doctor. I think I was really superstitious because I had 2 prior miscarriages.
