Insomnia......

OMG!  I am soooo tired yet I cannot sleep!!!!  It doesn't matter what I do, I cannot sleep.  Around 4am every day, I am wide awake in bed feeling completely exhausted!  I have a normal bed time routine and going to sleep isn't hard, but staying there is.  Any suggestions?

I have been waking up every morning around 2 to use the restroom.  Two nights ago I could not fall back to sleep, so moved out to the sofa and crashed.  I think it was b/c the room was cooler and DH was not there moving around.

GL!!!  Hope you can get some sleep soon.

I had a lot of insomnia in the beginning too. It passed, but now I'm up peeing 3-4 times a night instead!  I usually tried to read, and that would eventually make my eyes really tired so I would go back to sleep.

It must be a first trimester thing.  I wake up several times during the night and 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. is my wake up time ugh, it's horrible!!!  I've been making up the sleep by napping in the afternoon/evening!

I have been waking up like clockwork about 4 times a night.  Two to go to the bathroom, and two just because.  Same times every night.  DH has a new habit of bothering me when I get back in the bed now -.- so it is now ten times harder to fall back asleep. ugh.

Same here..I am 10 weeks and the insomnia has not gotten any better.  I work 12 hr shirts and feel utterly burnt out.  I just got a Homedics Soundspa Soundmachine from Bed Bath & Beyond.  It helps alot.  I keep the sound on "rain" since it is calming to me but it has several sounds and also the sound option or "heart beat" which you can use when the baby comes:)  It also has a timer just in case you dont want it on all night.  Hope you csn catch some zzzz's soon!

I'm the same, I get to bed fine, but wake up around 2:45, then 4ish then can't go back.  I have to pee everytime I wake up in between too.  Not sure if this helps, but I finally figured out a few nights ago that if I ate a tiny bit or drank a glass of milk at the 4ish wake up I can usually fall back asleep (within the hour!)

I'm waking up at 4-5ish every morning too.I sneak to the bathroom, then sneek back in hoping I don't wake up the dog so she wont want to go out (if that happens then I have an even harder time going to sleep after the cold air has been in my face).  I have found if i turn on a documentary that has some monotone voice tends to help.  I do sleep with an air cleaner so I don't hear little sounds because I'm a super light sleeper.  I also find that when it's really bad if I start counting in my head super fast almost faster than my brain can keep up, it forces thoughts out so my mind is blank and I fall asleep then. but it's very hard. And this time change? Extra hour of sleep pshaaawww right!  I was up at 4am.  Turned on the t.v. until I felt sleepy at 5am but then I had a crick in my neck and my shoulder started hurting super bad so I took a warm bath.  Got back in bed.  The doggy wanted out.  Let her out, laid in bed counting, started to fall asleep then the sun was coming up (my normal wake up time) and the dog was wide awake wondering why I was still in bed.  I finally got her calmed down and I was starting to fall back asleep and then my fiance woke up and was waking me up.  I'm am SO tired.  Going to try to take a nap a little later.

Thank you all!   I hate that anybody else is having the same sleep issue, but it does help knowing Im not the only one that is up that early in the morning.  I have just decided to accept it and now have been getting up and exercising.  It is helping me to fall asleep at bedtime easier, b/c I am completely exhausted!  Well good luck to all and Hopefully we will all be sleeping soon!
